  2. There was nothing like a 90's mosh pit.
  3. Whats the heaviest gauge you can use on a 1024x without adjusting the nut? I believe it has 45-105 on now, was considering some 50-110 for CGCF tuning.
  4. Be my guest... Would you like the link?
  5. Got inspired with your last nano board post here. Been using the pedal riser board for quick gigs but thought of bringing back the old nano I kept in the closet. Thanks!!
  6. weight added in the description. 4.3 kg
  7. And I just happen to have a brand new LHZ 03 preamp that I’m about to list in the classifieds. I bought two, but have had a change of mind about what I’m doing with one of the basses in question. 😊
  8. Tascam MA-8 This has 8 fantastic sounding pre-amps. I've not had a need to use it for a while, so did a quick test with my AKG c214 condenser mic to ensure all channels were fully working, clear and with working phantom power. All channel sounded lovely (audio available on request, but it's just me say "testing channel 5" etc.) There are 2 red knob caps missing (channel 7 and 8) as per the photos, but other than that it's a good as new. Each channel gain has the feel of quality for something made in Japan 20 years ago. A fantastic piece of kit which will keep working for another 20+ years easily. Comes with 'unscrew-able' feet which can be removed if you have a tight rack unit, but very useful for desktop use. Any questions, let me know £85 if picked up from South Lincolnshire area or if you want it posting within the UK I can look up postage charges
  9. Hi, I wouldn’t use this for DI but to go straight to a compressor and amp… there doesn’t seem to be any way to alter eq on this pedal but very interested in what it does to you live sound using this pedal. Cheers. Alan
  10. Why bother? People will buy it and say "Just bought this from AliExpress and it's worth every penny!" I'd like to post this on Talkbass, unless you plan on doing it.
  11. Here's a rare chance to grab an ESP Standard Series M1 in satin black. Made in Japan, original ESP logo pre M-II brand change. Serial number suggests it's a 2008. This has been in storage since I stopped pretending I could shred and switched to bass 😄 Moderate finish and fretboard wear, moderate wear on hardware, particularly the bridge where the black paint is wearing off, couple of chips and dings in the finish. Pickup has been changed to an EMG GTV (Glenn Tipton Vengence), which is a tweaked EMG 81. The guitar had an EMG 85 when I bought it which will be included in the sale (it would have had an EMG 81 originally). Action is very low. Frets could use a polish. ESPs seem to go for funny money these days, so I think this is appropriately priced given the full fat pedigree and genuine play wear. Includes a decent Charvel hard case. Pick up preferred from York.
  12. This is a cracking deal!

  14. I'd say leave it alone. late 70s P Basses have a vibe. Give yourself time to appreciate it before making major changes. Also, tort is getting played out. Black guard sunburst Fenders look classy (or 'smart' as you'd say on your side of the pond).
  15. I saw The Warning this week supported by the bassist-less Sophie Lloyd. Sophie had a bassist back in December when I saw her in Cardiff but all bass parts are on a backing track now. I understand keys and horn parts being on backing tracks because keys players generally want to stay at home and won't lower themselves to play in bands but not having a bassist! Come on.
  16. Thank you sir. I have nothing I can fault it on! I'd keep it but my G&L keeps asking me "so which of us is it going to be eh? 🤔"
  17. Mammy Wynette (Maybe not actually a career killer for country). Tom Bones Gob Harley Farter the Unstoppable Sex Machine The Sinks
  18. I need to get my broken BOD back to play with, currently like the valeton oc2 clone
  19. I'm offering my last pedal for sale. About 2 months old. Cost £245 with import duties. Boxed with pedal switch toppers. It's a valve / tube compressor, booster that adds harmonic over tones and has a clean blend. £125 including UK postage.
  20. Today
  21. Lovely figuring in the headstock wood. These 'Players' are great Basses and punch well above their price point. I've got a black/maple 2019 model, currently loaned out to a friend and it's easily the equal of my 2012 American FSR Standard sound-wise. Best of luck with the sale, 80Hz
  22. Yeah, a lovely set of pedals and a nice neat build Chadu. I’m definitely feeling smaller builds for bass at the mo as all I need is a nice fat tone 🎵👍🏻
  23. We're X Ray Love, and the concert is next Sunday, 27th April. If you do get to the show then please come and say hello, it's always great to meet fellow basschatters! https://youtu.be/Yx_Sqq6jooI?si=dJtdOxsrnDR5eWYx
