  1. Past hour
  2. Bought these from the marketplace here, as a trial. Decent tone, but too stiff for me (TI weakling). Cut 4 online. Don't know which version they are, or the gauge, sorry. Price includes postage. Cheers.
  3. Thanks, Pablo! Enjoy the pedal!
  4. Sadowsky Scratchplate/ pickguard . Black, was on a 2005 MIJ mv4 from new. Some wear evident
  5. Looks amazing. What is meant by "Old Fender shape?"
  6. As a sax play and someone who has an interest in jazz, one of the things that I get frustrated with going to listen to a jazz gig is the typical way that playing is approached. The typical method is: play the head, perhaps repeat head with some variation/decoration, everyone takes a solo for 16, 32, 64... bars (cue perhaps solo sax, trumpet, guitar, bass, keys, drums...). After 15 minutes of boring the audience to death, return to head and finish. Repeat process with next tune. You do not need to have everyone taking a solo in every tune, but that's what a lot of jazz groups do. They then wonder why their audiences almost no one under 70 in them. I don't go to a lot of jazz gigs, but I've been to enough, first one in my 20s, and they all operate this way. More imagination would go a long way.
  7. If using the Behringer solely as a mixer for us to access our own mixes for live use I'm not sure how/why/where/when we'd need to use the Aux outs for anything else... or would we? Is the P16 necessary for personal mixing if we can do it on the Aux of the X32 rack?
  8. These came with my Epiphone Jack Casady fretless, so I don't know which 'group' they are, or the gauge. I was pleasantly surprised by them, as I'm a Thomastik flats snob; these sound good, and reasonably supple. 34" scale, cut for 2 a side, played for only a couple of days. Price includes postage. Cheers.
  9. Apologies if this is cheeky for this Spector fans thread, but I thought I'd draw your attention to an item wanted post. I'm in the market for a US NS5, if anyone in here is considering moving one on at all. https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/511318-usa-spector-ns5-5-string/
  10. Taken off a Bright Onion patchbox pedal. Seems a shame to just bin them. Free, including postage.
  11. Yes, it's sat here just waiting for you 😉👍
  12. No use to me, seems a shame to just bin it! Free including postage
  13. EBS make a nice reverb specifically for bass, the Dynaverb. It's had a few updates through the years, and it's fairly expensive but can be found used for decent prices. It doesn't offer a low cut, only a passive tone control that cuts the treble. It is voiced specifically for bass though.
  14. Excellent strings, but sold the bass they were destined for. Played for maybe a couple of days? Descriptions in the photo. Medium scale, but fitted short scale very happily. Price includes postage. Cheers.
  15. The Quad Cortex came out 5 years ago in 2020. They are still selling used at over £1000. Much better value retention than my smart phone!
  16. Mackie 802 VLZ3 mixer Cracking little desk, I've used it for home recording and gigs - sounds great for both. Tons of features, great mic preamps, full working order, complete with PSU (euro plug with adaptor). Selling as I'm just not using it any more. Manual here http://kunstencentrumbelgie.com/overbelgie/802VLZ3_OM.pdf £90 posted, knock a fiver off if you collect from Bewdley DY12 I'm in Manchester, Liverpool (ish) and Leeds over the next couple of weeks - happy to meet at a services or even drop off if you're near the right motorway. Trades - I'm interested in a Cioks Sol, Jamerson's original P Bass or *possibly* a compressor pedal - feel free to offer anything else.
  17. These came with a new bass, played them for a couple of days, but the bass needs flats, so these are for sale. Cut for 2 a side. Info in the photo. Price includes postage. Cheers.
  18. Wake Up Poo! - The Poo Radleys
  19. (Sorry about the thread resurrection!) Only just discovered this thread - and what a resource, esp with regards the eras and the order everything was released. So I have a question which I’ve never seen explained: I have a GP12SMX with the 250wRMS/500wPeak amp (indicated by the silkscreened print on the back - not hand written) as part of the 1x15 combo - it has a cooling fan inside and no cooling fins on the back. I’ve had it for 20 years and apart from one service, has never done anything other than what I bought it for! I’ve just bought a spare head only (in the same textured vinyl case as the combo) - exactly the same spec, but with cooling fins and no fan. Identified as AH250 (hand written on the back). Is it the same amp?? I’m thinking the lack of fan noise might be for studio applications - but that’s a guess. Or is one the earlier model and the other slightly later? Any other differences (the front panels are identical), are either better/more desirable? Any insight would be appreciated.
  20. Ah. The plot thickens
  21. Thanks, el Dooderino! I played in a band with a guitarist used a Valve State, I did enjoy its crunchy goodness.
  22. I'd want to get a really close look at the output transformer and the label itself. If the 8 looks to be written on or a sticker applied after the original manufacture, and the output transformer is the same as the stock 4 ohm model, the only other reason I could think of for relabelling it is if someone had been running it with one pair of power valves removed for lower power.
  23. Don’t forget, if you go Behringer you have the option of using Ultranet for your monitor mixes saving all those aux outs for other uses. Yes it means more outlay to buy the P16 personal mixers but it gives each band member a physical control of their IEM stereo mix.
  24. Just sold my droc to Justin, really easy transaction. Excellent communication and no hassle, would happily deal with again. Enjoy the dingwall 😁
  25. I would say that definitely matches the tone the OP is after more than the DJ5. Well played also mate.
  26. £67 posted, it's had the best part of 2hrs use
