    I woke up one morning, about a year ago, with my middle finger on my right hand curled in and it took a while to unlock. After a bit of googling I assumed that Dupuytrens Contracture was the problem. Having had carpal tunnel, I was aware that prevention is better than cure. So since that morning I have taped my middle finger up to prevent it curling into my palm. If I don't go to sleep with the tape on my finger the issue returns (although over the year it has got much milder - probably because of the tape). It can get very bad if you do nothing, which would then necessitate an operation which might, or might not, be successful.

    Not quite what I meant - I meant about continuing the fraud in general. I should have been clearer. The tour / ticket sales etc are all based on a lie. Anyone who already has a ticket can demand a refund, the promoters are probably going to sue him, the venues might too. The USA allows for punitive damages as well as compensatory ones so that might mean monies on top of refunds and direct costs to the venues. As most of the people buying the tickets before the exposure would have thought it was his own work he might have to introduce every single tune giving credit to the right person to get away with it. Or redo all the advertising to be "Giacomo plays the music of..." Unless he takes positive steps at least equal to the original advertising then he would probably be deemed to still be passing off.

    It seems we are on the same page here. one thing I really miss when I play a Stingray is the tone control. I use it a lot and the treble knob isn’t the same thing

    Hah! I did a degree in Audio and Music Technology (BSc) at UWE. Lots of different aspects. Some plugin making and handling MIDI in code, a bit of acoustics, 3D game audio design, a bit of recording in the studio, a small amount of electonics. It was interesting, but perhaps not specific enough.

    Wow, wow, wow. Bass Direct seems to be really state-of-the-art now when it comes to using technology. Much more activity on social media and now also using ChatGPT to post here. Why do I say that? Well, as we all know, Mark, Marcus and Ash work at BD. Mark cannot have written the post as it says "good catch-up with Mark" and not "with me". Marcus and Ash also cannot have written it as it says "Sorry Marcus and Ash didn't get a chance" and not "Marcus and I" or "Ash and I". So, clearly written by ChatGPT, like this post, by the way 😉

    I took this to a practice and it looks and sounds amazing. However, I was bullied by the classic funk band lot for its unique styling. As a result, I will discount it and send it to you for the amazing sum of £315. This is a bit of a bargain for a basically brand new and amazing 5-string bass.
