  2. Approximately 4.4 kg
  3. Two of the Boston pickguards? Any pics?
  4. Barefaced Super12 here - sounds fantastic and gives more than enough volume and tone even when playing loud rock with a heavy drummer and two Marshall half-stacks.
  5. Back in the 90s there was an excellent Thin Lizzy trib in Glasgow - Fat Betty. For years I've wanted to create a tribute to Sweden's two greatest musical exports - ABBAration will either play the music of Opeth in the style of ABBA, or the music of ABBA in the style of Opeth. Or possibly both.
  6. Can you provide some pictures how you put the strings on?
  7. Yeah, i own a B5 Element and it is my absolute favourite bass out of three that i currently own... i miss the B4FL i used to own and would love to get my hands on one of the more recent B4FL Element in black.. and obviously the A5 Plus SC!
  8. I was going to make this point too. I used to have an old Park valve head which was designed for bass but was bought off me by a guitarist who reckoned it was the beat amp he'd ever played though. I assume this is why the original Fender Bassman amps are so popular with guitarists too. GLWTS
  9. Why would it be? The crossover should have two wires coming from it that connect to the woofers. They should be the same colours as the wiring between the woofers. If this is so in your case connecting these wires to the same colours on a woofer should bring the tweeter back on line.
  10. Playing the instrument that we do we have to constantly fight against the laws of Physics. it sucks but that's the way it is!
  11. I`m glad I got my £40 refund from Bax a few weeks back, had to start a paypal claim to get them to pay up. No wonder they didn`t have the item in stock.
  12. I’ve done similar - using Hipshot Ultralites - and imo it’s a worthy modification, makes a bass balance better and less wear on the shoulder.
  13. A lovely Overwater progress iv Standard 5er from 2017. A dream of a bass. This one with figured Olive top. The actual bass featured in the video. One or two light marks, but other wise in really nice condition with Overwater hard case. I´m based in Norway, but due a visit home soon and will bring this by hand. Thanks for looking.

  15. A 15" Ampeg Portaflex pulls a lot more bass out of an Elf than the 2x8. I know because I tried both in PMT before I bought the Elf, and found it weak sounding through the 2x8. Oddly, a year later my brother picked up Portaflex 15 for £50(!) and ended up getting an Elf to go with it. (Yes I know all the arguments against 15s but this particular combination sounds great for the sort of music I play).
  16. Just to add to this for information, I would go for the labella mini P bass flats next time, don’t try labella LTF’s short scale as I did because the E string snapped, I had a set of Rotosound Jazz Bass Flatwound Monel 40-90 Bass Guitar Strings, Short Scale in the drawer and they on mine now and sounding good
  17. The pair I ordered yesterday arrived today and they're excellent. Especially for the price. Very happy chap.

  19. Yet again a painless process. Thanks pal👍
  20. On the vast majority of solid state amps the headphone disconnects the speaker output and powers the 'phones via a series resistor. This means your fault is probably, as you seem to realise, a break somewhere in the output wiring, not in the electronics. You have a suitable instrument to trace the fault. Put the meter on an a/c range, perhaps 20vac or more. With one probe at a good ground point, carefully probe from the headphone socket to the speaker leads.
