It's is most probably a scam.

It seems an odd move doesn't it, given how closely they are ensconsed. Or, is it a stroke of genius getting N.A.M in to their world(s) before the other big profilier players out there can? Sonicake have got the N.A.M player in to their lil £50 Pocket Master, which reminds me of the old Zoom 9002, but that's not really competition for Darkglass Anagram.

Looks really nice. But to be honest, it's the HB flats that I'm interested in. There isn't much information about them. Any comments on sound, feel (tension)?

Hi All For Sale I have a Tech 21 Sansamp VT bass Di. Not had this long but its not getting any use, also I prefer the vanilla Bass Driver Di. The pedal comes with the tin and manual, its been used in the past and has the scratches and marks to show it, however it functions perfectly. If your looking at this post, you know what this thing is and what it does, just not for me unfortunately. Price is £190 Firm. Post and packaging included in the price Any questions please feel free to ask Cheers!!!

I'd be amazed if they do. This is clearly a product aimed at drawing bass customers away from the likes of a QC, so if they weren't competing before, they are now!

I'm sure most people know all about these but if not... It's a 200 W at 4 ohms / 130 W at 8 ohms pocket amp in VGC, lightly used having served as a backup and for the odd rehearsal. Fits in your gig bag and whilst great for insurance, it's actually a really great little amp with power that belies it's diminutive size. Many appreciative mentions on this site. Price includes postage.

Yes, the TC Electronic Plethora X5 seems to be wading in the same waters, I'll have to go for a snout to see how each measure up. I guess I ought to have a chat with Darkglass and have one over for review, right?

Hello from the USA. Like a few others lately I've found Talkbass to be a little heavy handed lately. To many mods to easily offended by nothing. Anyway I'm an old guy, started playing in 1966 and gave up the band business around 1996. I'm a home player now. I enjoy modding and putting together parts basses. Currently my amp/cab setup consists of an old GK800RB, a newer Ampeg PF350 both going though one or two old Cavin RL115's. I play mostly Fender and Fender style parts basses including a 66 jazz bass in purchased in 68 which is my baby. At moment though I've been playing a old OLP MM2 that I modded for the last 3 months or so. It's a good one. Anyway, here I am.

The fact that they have brought on board Neural Amp Modeller is very interesting! I've been using the Open Source application for quite some time, from release I suppose. It's profiling abilities are really rather good and "Steve Ack", the chap behind the application could have charged for it over and over it is that good, but chose to keep to a "free for all" license. A user led repository already has a huge amount of bass gear captures (usual guidelines apply regarding the caprturing process) https://www.tone3000.com/search?search=bass&q=bass . Quad Cortex's user uploads are pretty huge too, so having the option of either is nothing but a good thing - though I wonder if there will be cross-compatibility between Neural DSP and Darkglass. In a funny sort of way, they kinda compete, but then, don't?

I really and truly will ever understand why anyone would buy a (ripoff) bass from AliExpress. There are a gazillion arguments against buying from Ali, Temu, Shein and the works, and only one pro: -
Just spotted the comment. Just to let you know the pedal and I are still together despite it being a cheesey Valentine's Day thing. 😍 I'm completely out now - as detailed above - as I've had an ongoing affair with an Ibanez 5er. The pedal is happy with our relationship. 🤣

The golden age of buying from the USA was in the late 1980s when you got about 1.8 dollars your pound and shops in the States were packed with great gear. Nowadays the world is a smaller place, and international shopping is far more common. . Give the potential pitfalls, it makes no sense to save a couple of bob buying equipment from the USA unless it's stuff that is otherwise unavailable in the UK. There's more to consider than the sticker price on the goods, and so much hassle it would have to be something special to peak my interest.

It does look mighty impressive but being an old skool bassist, even the Helix HX Stomp seems too fiddly for me so this totally blows my brain. It does look bloody brilliant but I'll stick with my Sansamp, Compressor, OC5, Chorus, Reverb, Tuner pedal and bit of foam under the strings 🤣
-
Minnesota. Same difference though. I hung out a bit with Ian last year. Nice bloke, knows his s**t, grooves hard and knows his HX Stomp like the back of his hand! He's also huge - I'm 6'1, and he was a good couple of inches bigger than me! He's a big fan of Mike Lull basses, which aren't a million miles away from the Sadowsky template - souped-up Jazzes, basically. I guess it's a case of picking what feels right in your hands. (that's the Minnesota state flag on his hat, by the way...)

The BB1600 - I regret selling that over any other bass. It was exactly as per TK’s - I even used to buy GHS boomers for it because I’m a sad little fanboy. I will say, a well set up 414 is comparable…but doesn’t feel as nice.

Sold - very quickly.... got the PCB populated for a few more of these but didn't have the cash got jacks and pots and enclosures to make up all 10 in one go, amount of messages I've got makes me think I may make them up (though I'm wincing at the thought of more drilling and folding it all up to fit!)

Robbie sometimes does gigs around your area playing with Hamish Stuart from the Average White Band. He’s a great player, saw him with his own band years ago with Pino on bass.
