  2. Awesome entry level pedals up for grabs. Sonicake Octaver - a surprisingly good Boss OC2 clone, and an Amoon true bypass tuner. The tuner can emit a slight high pitched whine when in use but of course it's totally silent when off (True bypass) Both pedals in excellent condition, £25 for both!

  3. Such a lovely colour. Sherwood green is just ace. I almost always go for black or off-white, but Sherwood Green is amazing.
  4. One of your kidneys should get you over the line …
  5. Ditto.... I just keep looking at this and remembering what I was like drooling over this exact model 25yrs ago. It's simply stunning (and it's practically being given away at that price).
  6. A bit too far for me to collect, but my first bass came from J G Windows, happy memories!
  7. Here we have my Trondheim Audio Skarbass One pedal for sale. Recently purchased from Basschat user @bassadder this is in as new condition save for the addition of Velcro on the bottom. Great little pedal, interesting eq options - very musical, nice ‘one knob’ compressor, and a drive that goes from subtle to gnarly. There are loads of great video reviews online by better players than me. Why am I selling? Well as good as it is, the drive isn’t going to kick the SansAmp off my small board, and I have all the tone shaping I need between the SansAmp and the EVS Stanley Clarke. Pedal comes in original box and price includes UK delivery.

  8. Augh, I finally managed to decrease the action by almost 0.5mm, while keeping the intonation correct. The bridge config is fussy but not terrible once one understands which of the many screws does what exactly. I feel like a true Sandberg owner now 😁
  9. Three Strepsils To Heaven - Showaddywaddy
  10. Pool Halls Richard - The Faces
  11. Lock(ets) And Load - Bob Seger
  12. That will be you at bottom left by midnight...
  13. Finally got around to re-cutting the front of the cab.... This is the finished article... At a total outlay of £77.50 I'm extremely happy with the outcome.
  14. I remember that. Bad ass.
  15. Justin bought my Darkglass Adam and a PRS Holcomb 7 I had on sale - he was super communicative, attentive and serious. Great communications and a lovely chap to deal with, would absolutely recommend dealing with him. Thanks again buddy! Ander.
  16. Yeah I saw them there too, back to back with Slayer, needed a lie down after that.

  18. I bought it on here from @hooky_lowdown about 3 years ago as I just wanted to try a shortie. I swapped the pickup to an Aguilar with a loom made by our own @KiOgon as the stock controls were really just on/off. It neck dived a bit so I swapped the tuners for Hipshot Ultralights. It’s a cheap bass but the basic quality and build is more than good enough to warrant spending on those swaps. I love it! I liked it so much I found another one for roundwounds. I thought the bridge string spacing would be a bit tight but I’ve discovered I much prefer it for everything other than slap, and I don’t do a lot of that.
  19. Welcome to the madhouse, Helios. Nowt wrong with a bit of SFG.
  20. Good stuff, really love your shortie, was not familiar with this little Jim Deacon prec!

  22. Last bump before payday on Friday..yay!
  23. Well, replaced the fuse and is running fine. I had it on half power through the 6x10 cranked up, maybe that's what blew it? I dunno.
  24. I'm going to put this here, just for the sake of information should any ever have a desire to do the same thing. I swapped the magnets out on the aforementioned pickup, replacing the ceramic magnets with Alnico 5 to see what the difference is. To summarise, the output drops noticeably, and the main voice of the pickup moves up somewhere around the 1k range (to my ear at least). It starts to sound a bit like a Precision Bass pickup, but with less bottom end. I think a lot of the output in this pickup comes from the strong ceramic magnets, rather than the copper wire. Anyway, he's some pictures of the process should anyone else be mad enough to want to do this. If you are, you'll have to look at bar magnets for 7 string humbucker pickups to find something close to fitting. The original magnets are 67x13x5mm, which seems to be quite non standard. I got hold of a pair of A5 68.5x13x5mm and ground them down.
  25. Two sets of chromes... must be getting on for 15 plus yrs. Sound glorious... nice and gnarly.
