  2. Shower of love - Huey Lewis
  3. That's is awesome buddy, congratulations!
  4. For silent practice on an instrument that feels close to an upright to play the Yamaha SLB-100 is hard to beat
  5. Yes. We always do or you end up with random stuff
  6. I would say that the old iGig is as good as the Mono Vertigo (I've got both). The thing about the iGig bag is that it has more storage, which is very useful. I don't think that you can get hold of them new these days, but someone is selling one in the classifieds on here. As I said before, a GruvGear GigBlade is up there as well.
  7. I have a NS NXT which is passive and to listen through headphones I use a Blackstar Headphone amp. I believe the later models are now active so may be ok to plug in the headphones direct.
  8. All going ahead though a 2 year wait, counting down the days already.
  9. So Fresh So Clean - OutKast
  10. So is the idea a modular combo, allowing you to choose amplifiers and different power sources for different options? If so I doff my cap to you sir, if not, I still doff my cap as it looks great. I'm impressed, Rob
  11. Just got home from rehearsal with my instrumental classic rock band. Used my Fender JMJ Mustang strung with Elixir nickel rounds into the rehearsal rooms Ampeg SVT350 & 810, sounded great. I was very pleased to be using the JMJ again, over the last couple of years I’ve developed arthritis in my left thumb and my playing style was always thumb hooked over the neck, true punk style, so I’ve been working on my playing technique to the classic thumb on the back of the neck, and am pleased that after a 4hr rehearsal no issues with my thumb. I had been using my Fender Japan Mustangs and although they’re great I prefer the sound of the JMJ, more Precisiony. Band wise we’ve now got about 90 mins of material and all sounded really good, overall a great rehearsal.
  12. Still for sale! postage is £10 DPD next day.
  13. Wabash Canonball - Carter Family
  14. I read that as “cow paint”. And accepted it. Think I need sleep!
  15. Until recently the site would remember my log in details but now every time I open up I have to enter my user name and password a fresh. What’s happened? How can I get back to be recognised?
  16. No Shared patches or recommended settings in the TonLib forum page?
  17. The 414/614 necks are shallower than the 424/1024/2024 but single action truss rod
  18. Selling this fantastic guitar/bass/acoustic amplifier with effects. I'm including the wireless Line6 Relay, which makes it literally the cheapest listing (checking £270 for the amp alone) Happy to post at your expense or collect/short drive around Northampton.
  19. Found this 2005 Lakland 44-94 (in the center with its siblings) at Guitar Center in Hollywood earlier this year. They had it marked as a Skyline and priced at $999.99. I feel like the luckiest owner now that I have this sweet machine in my stable. This has become my number one, it hits the mark for feel, sound, construction, and tuning stability. Just amazing.
  20. I have the glittery, starry night 5 string version of this. I was thinking it could be a gimmick but I will say it is actually really handy. It is now my family jewel and the best bass I've ever owned really. It stacks great with pedals too on top of it all. Really glad and yet more unique than the already superb Stingray Specials.
  21. Very nice indeed! Enjoy 👍
  22. After all that thinking, I bought a Moog Sub Phatty. I am fully aware that it is WAY more expensive than anything I was considering in my post or anything else suggested here. Am I having a wonderful time? Absolutely. I shall never be able to play killer funky fills. I am just not wired up that way. But I can lay down big fat pedal tones and open and close the filter for different articulation. That is what I wanted. Doing an octave smear gliss to open proceedings makes me sound like a total boss and the portamento function gives me a veneer of smoothness I do not deserve. I was looking at cobbling together something which would do all that as cheaply as possible. Then I realised that it would be another 15 mins set up when I got there and it would all be relying on tiny conectors. The Moog cost me the same as a 2nd hand Mexican Jazz would cost and I am totally getting VFM for it. Will I keep it forever? A Subsequent 37 would be nice.......
  23. Are the 414 necks slimmer than the usual BB necks of that series?
  24. Today
  25. Been with me for years. It’s seen off every BB I’ve ever owned. Still needs a fret dress 😣
  26. Nah - plays great, looks ace - was a bargain, needs love. It’s home now. Yeah - the usual sparky bridge pickup seems lifeless/dark. will open it up…at some point. I’m sure it’s just a wire on the wrong doofer on the switch. etc.
