  1. Past hour
  2. I've now received an email confirming that my ticket purchase cost has been refunded to me. It's still extremely annoying though that I'm out the travel and hotel cost. It would be good if Janek Gwizdala and Ian Allison mane to arrange a get together for the Sunday.
  3. I was a stupid teenager who didn’t know what he had and traded my first amp, a Marshall 100w valve bass head for a Laney combo. Utter piece of farting crap. I still feel that awful sense of shame. The first time I heard the head through a proper cab was when I took it in for the trade and even then I had my doubts…
  4. Uriah Seep Stayer The Boxtoes The Burds Steam Hamber The Codz Wudgie
  5. Dividends are paid on profits. Salaries are a pre-profit cost.
  6. Yes, both are 1st series of TRB5P, probably different years. I am not sure about body size, for me it looks like almost everything stays in place except the body is dislocated (it seems that also bridge pickup might be in a bit different place). If you look at neck-body joint it also is in a bit different place. Here are both: As far I found a guy who owns the left version (bridge closer to the edge) and he claims it is 1992.
  7. If its noticeable to the audience i've seen our singer simply apologise at the end and say "its live music and sometimes it happens" Audience recognise the fun element and laugh with us but that's become quite rare these days. Dave
  8. TRB5P (P is important, it is different bass than TRB5) series II does have individual bridges. TRB5/TRB6 series I and II are bolt-on cheaper models. They were replaced by 1005 and 1006. TRB5P/TRB6P series I and II are neck-through with piezo bridge. They were discontinued after series II. This is TRB5P series II:
  9. Hahaha - indeed!
  10. +1 I always liked the HA3500 and 5500 heads, seemed easy to dial in decent sounds. The cabs on the other hand seemed very bland to me, even the aluminium cone ones.
  11. I meant in recent years leading up to the end not now
  12. This is such a beautiful bass. I am so sorry I am left handed! GLWTS
  13. In an old band I was in, if anyone dropped one then the culprit had to raise their hand to show it was them. This sometimes led to some very funny moments, and our audiences often got it too.
  14. Nick came and bought my MarkBass CMD121p and it was all great - top communication and we had a lovely chat about bass stuff! Thank you for buying the amp it and I realy hope it fits in the car! All the best. Kim
  15. Today
  16. Now that's a novel idea Chris. I do sit down once i start to feel a bit achy. Probably too late by then. Studio only has old drum stools to sit on and if back's a bit aching they don't really help a lot. I'd be better sitting on the floor against the wall. I would put the stool against the wall but they have guitar hangars etc at chest height but i might just sit earlier next time rather than wait for my back to ache. TBH its not been so bad over past 6mths since i started doing weight training classes in the gym so that must be working. Dave
  17. We've been playing together for about 20 years and mistakes are few and far between. However we wear our big boy pants and can take the big OOOH face from the others when we drop one, and hand it out too. It's all part of the fun. No egos. I love it. The audience are usually clued up musically too, so they notice and join in the friendly barracking. It's all taken in good humour
  18. That might also be the bridge, it's alive its alive!!! 😅
  19. The series ii doesn’t have individual bridges either, that’s the later version 1005 etc. I have a Trb 6ii and it’s a traditional bridge.
  20. I’m sorry - I’ll be working Thursday. If you’re able to make it in to Leicester in the afternoon I could bring the guitar to work and meet there. Drop me a private message if that would work out for you 👍
  21. Just a casual look at those two side by side photos… definitely the same series bass? The 2nd pic must have the P pickup butted right up against the neck with no space for the truss rod adjustment? Looks to me like the bodies are different sizes?
  22. Nice bass. What’s the Ashdown amp like, fancy one of those myself
  23. The first offer is a bold one
