  1. Past hour
  2. You can get that weight with non destroyed wood. When you think you've read and seen all, someone is there right the next corner waiting with his bullshìt marketing. Next one will be totally rotten wood falling apart glued with punks' spittings? That said, I'm on the tonewood side, but when stupidity hits the target, all I can do is 🤦🏻
  3. The list updated with recent changes.
  4. No worries - I totally understand!
  5. Hi there, still available? Also what's the weight - cheers 😊
  6. U.K. postage is around 70 on Shiply so would let this go for £400 delivered Thanks
  7. U.K. postage for this week a coming in around £110 on Shiply.com which would make the cab, 550 delivered so I’m happy to half the expense and sell for 500 delivered.
  8. 14 TX64 Pads and Mounting arms Pads work perfectly well responding to all pad trigger areas and velocity. I originally had 3 full kits at my rehearsal room but have no need for them and most of the parts/frames etc have been sold. selling as a job lot as I’d rather not split and do individual postage. Collection is good too, NE26 or NE6 or could possibly drive to meet depending on distance. Any questions please ask. Thanks David I
  9. I had the 2x8" combo too - really nice sound and very cool styling, but insanely heavy for a small combo. Made by Carlsbro apparently. OP amp looks a bargain for proper quality kit
  10. If it works, it works! They're bloody weird things. Rattle from the endpin? Right ... a cushion strapped to the back will fix it!😂
  11. I don’t regret selling my Hofner violin bass either. Sounded bloody fantastic in the studio but it was such an arse to play and, like you, I was worried I would break it all the time. Never once did I play it live but it made it onto a good few records over the few years I had it. Now happily replaced by a Wilcock bass which does that sound equally well and gives me loads more options.
  12. Headphones would be Tier 2 at worst. I'll add you to the list on p2.
  13. I've got of these too. Neck dive for sure with any almost all T-Bird inspired shapes, but I moved the strap button to neck heel and it's about 75% better. I've also been tinkering with it, rewired pickups to single coil (lower neck coil and upper bridge coil) and it's much more J bass now.
  14. I don't think I signed up to this, but meant to. As it is, I'm still in. The last thing I bought and paid for was in November (HX Stomp XL). I refuse to upgrade anything until I've at least giged some of the cool stuff I have, though I am open to making a level 2 infraction if headphones (for production puproses) are permitted under level 2 rather than level 1.
  15. Cash for Honours Gaga
  16. P.S - as you can see ive fitted a bridge cover. The thumbrocker thumb rest will be removed before sale and will leave no trace as this is a drop in mod. Very sunny here so anything other than the aforementioned dent will sun sun glare. More pics to follow once ive cleared space
  17. I did, in fact several sets of Dunlop tapered sets were used on my Euro 5 LX and never had this issue. I had with other basses though, albeit with normal strings and the culprit was always the distance between the pickups (magnets) and the string, them being too close...
  18. Bump. Open to offers
  19. Nothing new there I'm afraid, Charlie Hunter has had that pickup and output set up on his guitars for as long as I've been listening to him, possibly the best part of 2 decades! Jeez I'm old! Back on the topic of the bass at hand, I really don't see anything special to it, whatsoever, but some folks are willing to pay lots for custom instruments, that others think is silly, it's just another example of marmite in the bass world...
  20. Airana Venti
  21. Fingers crossed for both the safe delivery and the preferred neck shape 🙂 Given your past with the necks haven't you thought about buying a run-of-the-mill used euro, shave the neck to your liking and refinish? (that's what I've done with the pink one)
  22. This is was my solution in the studio…
  23. I bought this as a B-Stock item from Guitar Village as i desperately wanted to have a P bass back in my arsenal. However, with slight arthritis in my hands i really do pick up my jazz bass for anything other than a bit of house noodling and as such i want to cash it in to fund a backup jazz I've seen. These are MIM but to vintage specs including slab rosewood fingerboard, alder body, reverse kluson type tuners and threaded saddle bridge. Even the tort guard has a slight celluloid look to it with indentations where the tugbar is a really nice depth to the tort. I've fitted tonerider pickups as i do to all my basses but the originals come with the bass. Ive also whacked on some GHS Precision Flats for the old-school tone. Pics including the dent near the forearm (reason it was B stock) to follow asap. I have since slightly filled the chip with black nail varnish which makes it much less noticeable. For me, my favourite precision colours are the 50's style burst/gold/maple and then this burst/tort/rosewood - just a classic look. Part ex wise/trade wise id consider something valvey - Ashdown Little Bastard/CTM30 or my ideal amp an EBS T90. Bass wise im pretty sorted but i am partial to MIJ fender basses. Sale muchly preferred. No case for this as i use a dual gig bag for my gigs so it would be collection from Bolton or could potentially arrange meets. Pics to follow asap
  24. Clutching at straws- ‘Just for the record’ has a great bass line too.
  25. Nothing Ever Happens - Del Amitri
  26. Price drop on the Hipshots... Now half the price of a new set.
