  1. Past hour
  2. That is light, even for one of these! Certainly mine was about 3.4 Kg, if I remember rightly (unlikely), but it had a Hipshot drop D tuner. GLWTS
  3. The dark neck, also Warmoth, is also perfect on the swamp ash body, visually even more so, I'll do some shots of that later also Steve. To be honest the maple fretted nack really belongs on a lovely 70s 3TSB on which it does a very very nice Entwistle-esque tone 👍
  4. Machine Messiah - Yes
  5. That said, this technique is not really new and Robert Benedetto made two acoustic archtop guitars with similar wood, simply stating that the sound holes were already naturally constructed by the worms. "Il Teredo (Serial #S1416GP) The sound holes are naturally constructed by the Teredo mollusk, also known as the Ship Worm. One of the most unique guitars we've made!"
  6. Weeds (I made this video when we still were Dredd and the Badass ....) Bit of Choked, but with old guitar and drums... Just mobile phone stuff:
  7. Not a new (or even AI generated) picture, but I can’t imagine a more recent one looking much different.
  8. metal gods - judas priest
  9. Dispersion, dispersion, dispersion. It's inversely proportional to the size of the source. The main reason for larger drivers is they can move more air than smaller drivers. If you use multiple smaller drivers you can move just as much air with higher efficiency and wider dispersion so long as they're vertically aligned. Fifteens work best where dispersion isn't a concern, which means either in sub or in 2 way or 3 way cabs where the fifteen is only run to 800Hz or so.
  10. That makes sense. I nearly messaged you as I know you have more experience with backing tracks. It was frustrating but we worked around it. We aimed to research it and come back better informed. That makes sense. My theory (as someone who isn't into tech) was that Nick's iPad is ancient and the desk wasn't reading it. We used my more modern one at the next gig and there was no problem. I'll pass your answer on to Nick from the group as I really don't want that happening again.
  11. Steel River - Chris Rea
  12. Pete Urbansprawlhend
  13. Aguilar Octamizer Good condition and working as it should. With box. £75 (+£5 postage via recorded delivery).
  14. We don't have a guitarist, drummer or keyboard player. We never perform live. We manage to write approximately one song a year. In a good decade. Beat that.
  15. I put this video together at the request of one potential booking person. And this is a photo from a year or so ago at fund raiser for the hall we rehearse in - fancy dress as it was Halloween themed.
  16. Hi folks As part of my ongoing gear clear out I have a Warwick Rockpower NT 1 power supply rated at 9V 200mA. £7.50 inc P&P to UK mainland.

  17. Ok…I think I may need the J5 set. The ones I’m replacing are 95mm each and sit ‘shorter’ in the existing cavities… I’ll measure the cavities.
  18. If I had a good excuse to have a second Tri12L I would; easily one of the best cabs, period.
  19. So tempted by this, just need to find £600 from somewhere. lol
  20. And there's some additional information in the very brief user manual on MIDI mapping other than the PC mapping, and a Zoom interface explorer at https://www.waveformer.net/zoom-explorer/. This could be handy for anyone who wants to build a controller to allow all six effects to be switched on and off without scrolling. For the original MS pedals (MS-70CDR, MS-50G), mapping of MIDI CCs to effect parameters only works smoothly for the first three effect slots. For the remaining three effect slots, changing the effect parameters will trigger a patch reload, which will result in audio being muted for a brief moment. For the MS+ pedals (MS-70CDR+, MS-60B+, MS-50G+) the MIDI CC mapping works for all effect slots. CC Target 2 Effect 1 on/off 3-14 Effect 1 parameter 1-12 17 Effect 2 on/off 18-29 Effect 2 parameter 1-12 33 Effect 3 on/off 34-45 Effect 3 parameter 1-12 48 Effect 4 on/off 49-60 Effect 4 parameter 1-12 63 Effect 5 on/off 64-75 Effect 5 parameter 1-12 78 Effect 6 on/off 79-90 Effect 6 parameter 1-12
  21. A reverse image search chucks up a few Reverb listings & a bunch of pics from a TalkBass Skjold thread, showing 4 & 5 string Drakkars with this string anchor system. No clear pics of exactly how it works, but it does appear to be pins, similar to how guitar strings are anchored to a Bigsby trem system.
  22. Not really, where would they even scan?
  23. You might get a bit more interest in your new low price if you were to include it in your title, e.g. PRICE DROP £1000. Just click on the the three dots to the right of the original post and you should see "Edit". Then you'll be able to edit the title box. GLWTS - I agree this is a ridiculously low price for such a quality bass.
  24. Ooh. That swamp ash P-bass body. Beautiful. Not to mention the dark wood neck.
  25. This band is somewhat unusual in that though we're a "jazz" band the material is often along the lines of long reggae grooves with a bit of blues trumpet soloing over the top, and even some lyrics. This is surprisingly popular locally as it is quite accessible. Pretty much all the material is original, composed by the trumpeter or guitarist (or both together).
  26. We are 11. We practise every Thursday. We have been doing gigs since 1988. What does not separate us from the others is that we have had many drummers. Just like in the famous rockumentary Spinal Tap.
