  2. Hi guys, I've just popped a brass JAN3 nut on to my Warwick bass and have a brand new unopened in pack 45mm JAN3 Plastic nut and a used 47mm JAN3 Plastic nut. £15 posted for the 45mm brand new £10 posted for the used 47mm Thanks,
  3. I have a few backdrop stands for sale. These are aluminium and can be lifter with one hand. They solt together then screw tight, no tools required. Literally a 2 minute set up if that. Ideal for banners or lightweight curtains etc. Adjustable (internal poles slide in and out) upto 3m per pole. I can supply in: 3mx3m - £75. X2 base units x2 uprights X1 cross piece. X2 adaptors. 3mx6m - £95. X3 base units x3 uprights x 2 cross pieces. X3 adaptors. Note: these are for lightweight items, not lighting / speakers etc. Pick up Leyland Lancashire
  4. Totally agree with Mart, I have a alder body from their Greenline range at 7.5lbs and it’s noticeably lighter than my ash body
  5. That does make total sense, but from what I understand the Positive Grid amps use cab sim to reproduce the 4x12" or open back or whatever and get closer to a characterful guitar sound. One of the issues with a nice guitar amp is that it generally has an optimum volume operating level - I'm mainly playing in a small room with people the other side of the wall, but from time to time I take an amp to a rehearsal space. I've got a lovely little Laney LC15r which sounds fab in a rehearsal space, but honestly at quiet practise levels it's just not that nice. Anyway, the Positive Grid is on its way and will arrive tomorrow and I'll see how it performs - will look forward to giving my thoughts.
  6. Is there some imperative for shortening it?

On the surface, that seems reasonable. But what about when you're not performing? Are you okay with having to either crouch to the floor to make changes, or put the unit on a hands-friendly raised surface where you can no longer use the footswitches/expression controllers? Wouldn't it be better to be able to program the floor-mounted controller while it's... I don't know... on the floor? Anyway, I don't want to drag this off topic. I'm going to be interested to see how the Anagram UI holds up to real-world user feedback.
  8. Do a search. This topic has been thoroughly discussed in multiple threads. It's unfortunate that your guitarist didn't do his homework before buying the DXR15s. You'd get a much better result with a pair of DXR10 and an 18 inch sub.
  9. I'd like to invite the 8 interested parties and Lee to my house for a *cough* home cooked meal. I'll be 10th in the queue.
  10. My feedback war it is over I use a Krivo blended with a wing piezo and a K&k 2ch pre The Krivo alone is likley a p bass, the piezo helps to make a more “natural” sound For a weekend warrior like me,the Krivo is a pure bliss cause I have to play in pubs, sometimes very little place But even outdoor, expecially loud gigs it saves me multiple times
  11. I have just spent a pleasant morning with Dave Lunt and can confirm he is still very much firing on all cylinders. With me doing the heavy lifting, he gave my 1981 SVT a quick service, tested all the valves, replacing three of the preamp ones which were a bit noisy, and tweaked the bias settings to get rid of most of the hum. He's based in Macclesfield, Cheshire and I would heartily recommend him with the caveat that you might need to pitch in and help if your amp weighs 3 tons like mine!

With modern multifx controllers, they are very much designed to not need adjustment mid performance, scenes/presets and whatnot, so i'd imagine there's no market for that.
  13. "Not me - I already got one."
  14. Don't usually get to post in this thread as I don't rehearse in my regular bands. However we lost yet another member in my Trigger's broom of a Glam band so arranged a night to audition drummers. Four applicants all agreed to learn some tunes so we hired a room, a kit and scheduled them in over a four hour rehearsal. Three dropped out at the last minute for a number of exciting and creative reasons leaving us stuck with the bill and only one guy to see. I didn't feel particularly positive. But mark the sequel! The guy was great. Established a rapport with him almost immediately. He had his eyes on me for cues, played really well, and even busked Hell Raiser having not learned it. Anyone who has played any Sweet song knows the structures are never straightforward but he was spot on.

Yeah, after watching a couple of YouTube reviews, it seems like there are some real UX compromises in order to keep to a small form factor. Or maybe it's simply been under-designed. I was so amazed at the "trying to paint the hallway through the letterbox" touchscreen that the knobs being above the screen didn't even register with me. On a related note, why are all multiFX param controls knobs that can only be operated by hands? Why hasn't someone come up with one that uses rollers that can be operated with the feet?
  16. The 100 was designed with orchestral players in mind, the 200 and 300 more with gigging/travelling jazzers and pit players front and centre. The 100 always required a bridge or mag PUP to work live as the piezo/pre were optimised for headphone use and sounded awful amplified, the latter models overcame this 👍
  17. Dropped to £2995 as I've seen something else I want!
  18. Me too. Couldn't make it through the song I tried to listen to
  19. Price drop to £5495 as I've seen something else I want!
  20. Easily the best speaker cabinet I have ever used: am downsizing to lighter Genz Benz cabs as I rarely play live now. The Eden D210XST Cab is loud enough to be heard and yet still small enough to be used at home or in a small studio. For those players who need a portable, high-performance rig with even more low end than the XLT, Eden has designed a 2 x 10" cabinet for their XST woofers. Punchy and clean, the D210XST produces a full and clear tone through its two 10" speakers. It's excellent for delivering articulate bass lines with volume. This 2 x 10" cabinet handles more power than many 4 x 10" cabs on the market. The D210XST offers huge bottom end with its cleverly-designed tuned and ported cabinet construction and speaker selection: the low end is full but tight, the mids are open and well-defined and the highs are clear and crisp. Durable build quality makes this ideal for touring and live performances. All Eden enclosures are constructed with 5/8" thick void free plywood with full dado and rabbet jointing. Massive internal bracing prevents vibration and keeps the sound deep, tight and clear. Exclusive Eden Cast Frame loudspeakers and Eden Cast Bell low distortion tweeter horns are designed, hand-built and tested in their own factory in the USA. Very Good condition. Comes with an official Eden cover. Power Handling: 500 Watts Impedance: 8 Ohms Speakers: 2x10" Eden-spec Eminence EC1060XS speakers Tweeter: Eden Cast Bell low distortion Crossover: 3.5KHz @ 18dB Frequency Response: 30Hz - 14KHz Sensitivity: 103dB SPL Connections: Parallel 1/4 Inch and Speakon Dimensions: 23" w x 18" h x 18.5" d Weight: 59lbs / 26.8kg Only £325. Collection from East London preferred, although happy for buyer to arrange a courier.
  21. The last blue one's sold... I wonder who bought it? 😎
  22. I'm sorry to say I've had a less than satisfactory experience dealing with them lately. I've had a bass marked as SOLD on their website for the last 3 weeks but haven't received any money yet. I've followed up with two phone calls (after which I was twice promised a reply but received none) and an email which was not replied to. I have since called in at the shop to try and clear it up but I've received no communications since. I phoned again this week to ask what was happening. They just said it's gone through to the finance department. No other explanation was offered. I'm disappointed with such poor communication from this shop. They've always been good in the past.
  23. Just replied
  24. It's a pleasure. You probably do this already, but I find it best to set channel eqs with the FOH and monitors turned down. You may have to ignore "Can't hear myself" protests from the singer. Ask them to sing as loudly as they would when the band is playing, too. Once you have it dialled in the cans, you can use the master eq to adjust for the room.
  25. In the interim, try and pick up an alder bodied Lionel they come in at 7.5lbs (I’ve had my hands on 4 and they’ve all been about that weight). The gloss finished and aged models are alder. The satin finished with visible grain are ash and about a pound heavier.
