Bypassing Preamp on Ashdown ABM 600
NancyJohnson replied to Pirellithecat's topic in Repairs and Technical
I had a bluefaced UK built ABM head, I think it was the 300 (I was in a bit of a bind and Ashdown sorted me out). The head was quite bass heavy/boomy; I was running it through Hartke Hydrive cabs which had fairly bright tonal characteristics. While the power was there it was very hard to get any overdrive out of it, I mean yes, there was some kind of drive circuitry on it, but it was more of a crackle/interference than dirt. -
Why do you need a clock on the board? 😁 I mean I love the idea but curiously wondering if there is any specific requirement this serves.

Whatever the wrongs or rights of the situation I'm cynical enough to think that Mr Sapko probably isn't too upset at the significant boost to his own account is likely to get from exposing a more famous 'influencer'. Social media is just as grubby and cut throat as any other part of the entertainment industry, probably more so because of the number of competitors all trying to grab the limited attention span of an easily bored audience.

https://mailchi.mp/iankingbass/zgnhu4xuxy https://mailchi.mp/582495ae8e54/the-bass-vault-with-ian-king Hi everyone, I’ve created a couple of transcription books, with accompanying backing tracks, as a way of showing the kind of tracks we work on in my bass classes called ’ The Bass Vault’. Free to download and with only minimal contact afterwards - don’t worry about being spammed to death afterwards, that’s just not my style. Anyway, thought they’d be of use to fellow bass-chatters, enjoy! Ian

This Thursday, 10th April, I'll be playing at The Bedford in Balham with a singer songwriter called Andrew Maxwell Morris. He is an singer, songwriter and film and television composer and has composed music for Cavendish and EMI Production Music which has been placed across the ITV channels, Channel 4 and Sky Sports. He saw me play with my main band a few weeks ago and asked if I would be willing to play bass for him. We've had two rehearsals and its all sounding rather good so looking forward to my first gig with him as well as playing at The Bedford which I hear is quite a good venue.

I have the Spark Go. I haven't used it with the bass yet, but it's dead handy for guitar. It sounds ok, but when you play through headphones it sounds really good. Spark have released a set of headphones for silent practice. I'd be interested to find out what they are like.

That’s what made me think - was it introduced on the mustang and than made available on the P and J, or was it found on those before 66?
-
Is it the 90s again? Don't make me go through all that palaver once more

He's got a D'Angelico model guitar that has disappeared from their site, although he still shows as one of their artists.

I guess '66 on the Mustang?

If anyone ever buys the Joyo DC-15B, I've even found the perfect carrying solution, this: https://www.thomann.co.uk/flyht_pro_gorilla_soft_case_gac126.htm

Whoa!! Nice collection 👍🏻

This white Joyo is brand new on the market, that's why you didn't see it. The Caline does indeed look funky and was certainly the main reason I bought it... 🤦🏻🤔😂
