I don’t expect it will be long before a software update as this has come out of the gate with just enough to make it a viable product and then I’m sure there will be rapidly expanding library as other developers/brands come onboard….
  3. Imagine if I’d bought a blue to defret… I haven’t. 😆

I believe the hardware is Bluetooth enabled, they just haven’t got it enabled yet but will have soon
  5. The cushion looks awesome Ped, but does it have the traditional mid bump?
  6. No changes to my board for a while now (OK I turned the tuner around), except I occasionally 'guest' a pedal in the Meatball loop. Do you all like my massive Tubescreamer pillow? 😆

Something like this is best suited for someone who plays live, with features for people who play through an amp, but other features for those who do the "silent stage" thing and go direct with IEMs, like routing one signal with just a preamp and effects to an amp output, and another with amp simulation/IR to an XLR to the desk, but who also wants a recording and production tool so they can get those exact sounds into their DAW of choice without using plugins. If it's purely for live use, there's cheaper solutions to get the sounds you want, from more basic multi-FX to common-or-garden stompboxes.
  8. Yes. It's all working and as it should be.

I had a look at the block list … a Flanger, but no Phaser?!? For shame! 😳

  14. Had the P Bass version back in the day. Wish I hadn't sold it!

Another reason why these sorts of things don't appeal to me - while I fully appreciate that it's a me issue - option paralysis. WTF is a ham fisted pub playing weekend warrior like me gonna do with all these cab sims? I'm better off out of it.
  16. I had one, it was absolutely awesome. Great basses.
  17. How the f*** could you want anything other than this bass 🤔😆
  18. Roundabout - Yes
  19. I'm not saying that everything by Oasis is a banger because that's demonstrably untrue, however there are some of their catalogue that would be extremely popular were we to play them, however it's just a flat no.

If the hardware supports it (ie, if it actually contains a Bluetooth radio), then somewhere on the case it'll have the Bluetooth glyph and probably the FCC logo. Can anyone who's got one already confirm? It could well be that it might need a Bluetooth "kludge" to be put into the USB port to enable the functionality, like on my Zoom B6 (which has a dedicated port for it).
  21. Finally had the chance to measure my BB Lionel, ash body. 3.8kg / 8.4 lbs Was stepping on and off with it on the crappy digital scale, so might be a bit off, but ballparkwise should be good, I measured multiple times
  22. I've been playing about with introductions and the middle bits and chorus and I can see something emerging from the mists. I'll keep trying. The nice thing about 90 min Teams calls with 200 people, are that I can pick the guitar up, play into a tiny speaker just to try things out. Just make sure sure I keep the mic and video off. If I hear my name I can just put the mic back on.
  23. I was so expecting to get on with this amp that I binned the original box. However, all the rest of the bits are here, including the posh little bag, UK mains plug, sticker and manual on a CD-ROM. This bite-sized bass amp has been used precisely twice, for less than an hour in total. I just didn't like the constant fan noise, which apparently is a feature not a fault. Would be fine for playing with other musicians I guess, and everyone seems to love these amps, but my main use case was (quiet) solo home practice and it's too noisy. Don't make the same mistake! Full skinny here: https://peavey.com/product/trace-elliot-elf-ultra-compact-bass-amplifier/ Pick up from Hove or UK postage at cost. Hit me with your vexed questions.
  24. You may be surprised how much easier it is to play a bass with a flat board. Leo only put a radius on his creations to mimic classical instruments that were played with bows. Electric stringed instruments are not so the concept is actually redundant even though we've become accustomed to them. Leo as you may know wasn't actually a player.Flat boards are part of the reason I favour Warwicks. Never owned an ACG as of yet but tried a few used examples in Bass Direct. They are something else ☺️
  25. Essex's own Martin Newell in Shepherds Bush Hall last night, Two sets, one solo and then another with backing band The Cleaners from Venus for the first time in over 30 years for this two night run at Bush Hall; though it was support act The Gardeners stepping into that role (my friend Tiv played guitar alongside Captain Sensible and Dave Gregory for what had previously been the Cleaners' final excursion in Japan in 1994) Quite a few famous faces were in the crowd... Thoroughly entertaining, when he goofed up a riff on the piano, he remarked "At least you know now it's not AI" 😆
