  1. Past hour
  2. No mad rush.... Look after yourself first... Hope you get well soon.
  3. I guess I need to be finishing that power supply! Sorry, been very distracted (and now I'm Tom Dick 🤢)
  4. I have a fretted and a fretless...great basses..so, so playable...lovely necks , huge choice of sounds... I think you have this underpriced but that should make for a quick sale. GLWTS
  5. Don't worry, your processed meat in tubular form encased in pastry is safe on my watch.
  6. I used to go to America and buy vintage clothes back in the 1980's and bring them back to flog. It was a lot of fun, and a nice way to subsidise my holidays. There was a shop in the Kings Road called American Classics that was very trendy (and very expensive). I could get most of the same gear half the price. However, even in those days in the States no one was giving the stuff away. All the shops selling secondhand clothes knew the value of the American market for classic and vintage gear.
  7. If this was a product a few years back I would've chosen it over the Quad. Now? I don't think it would be worth the effort or make sense to sell the QC to buy this. I also feel obliged to stay loyal to Dougs new company and products since he has helped me out a good few times over the last few years. Just please port the Darkglass plugin into the QC!
  8. Don't you dare chlorinate my sausage rolls!
  9. Regardless of current turbulence, the pound is unlikely to recover historical strengths against the dollar. It might be a bit better than piss-poor, to use a technical term, but no one will be filling their boots with cheap American luxury goods in any foreseeable future. Trade deal or not, American goods such as musical equipment will remain priced at a bit more than they are actually worth. Just an aside, when you see the state of some of the people dining in Greggs nowadays , I think accepting American chlorinated chicken as part of a trade deal is the least of our worries. We've already accepted far worse in terms of diet and food habits.
  10. This keeps coming up and I have to keep remindig myself, I'm here to SELL a bass, not to buy a new one... 😅
  11. That. That right there is clickbait! Heeheehee. On the contrary. Now we all want to hear it.
  12. Thanks, there's more to it, but I don't want to get to long winded.
  13. That's a pretty cool story it has attached to it. Really nice!
  14. Welcome Doc
  15. Serial #E05729 ManufacturedNovember 19th, 1998 ModelBASS 5-STR RED TRN MAPLE Weight is 10lbs, obviously a respray as it's very much not translucent red! The clear lacquer has peeled a bit off the back, due to some possibly vigorous polishing 🙄 anyway, doesn't diminish from the fact that it is a great bass, really punchy and versatile. Has the very useful 3 way switch which gives you series/single coil/parallel pickup options. Has the Music Man hard case. Would prefer collection, can meet up in Dorset/Devon/Somerset. Otherwise can be boxed if you arrange a courier. For Sale only, no trades-thank you. Cheers, Simon

  21. The great 'Selling Gear I Never Use to Fund A Custom ACG' Sale continues! This has been on and off my board quite a bit over the past year but I've moved to a purely clean DI now, so it's time for this to move on. Comes in great condition with velcro attached, original feet come in the box though if that's more your bag. Rather not have a trade, unless it's the Origin Effects Super Vintage probably, as I'm saving up for my dream bass. Based in Dumfries and would rather meet to sell, but posting could be an option. Give me a shout!

  22. Thanks. Its a beauty and has one of the best necks on a bass I have played but I never use it so time to move it on.
  23. It's pretty much as slick as snot at this point. It was originally LPB, with matching headstock, white/parchment pickguard. I have all the original parts. This bass had a problematic neck till around 75 I took it to Brian Dunn at rainbow guitars in Tucson Az. He had it for about a month as he heat treated the neck and got the Truss Rod to move as it should. Before there was limited adjust ability. I was never a fan of matching headstocks or vintage style frets so I had him refinish the head stock and do a refret with med jumbo wire. The best thing I ever did was to take it to Brian. It became a real player. Then I had the body repainted black. Back in those days they were just basses, no vintage value attached. I could have walked into Rainbow at any time back then and bought 2 or 3 for $200 buck apiece. I've messed with this bass for years and now I've got it where I want it.
  24. I’m based in Fleet, so if Chris_B can’t make it, I’m available.
