This is a belting bass line. Nice harmonics. Then full-on face-tearing riffs

Yes sorry, I didn't mean GR amps that can go to 2 ohm, but in general there are some amps which can.
-
It'll be fine without a cab. Have fun!

Just oil the wood, and it will faintly resemble Mesa/Boogie, although cooler.

This is the new head shell. It was originally made to re-house a 'D'-style amp that was in a combo, hence the Voxy fabric on the lower panel. I don't love that look, and fortunately that front panel is easy to remove - I'll likely replace it with some black steel mesh to allow ventilation, as this is pretty much forced to be a 'valves-hanging-down' layout. I think I can live with the natural wood finish; it would feel wrong to cover it with Tolex or Tuffcote!

At the moment it’s a very pillowy bass It’s a plywood zeller. I’ll have a closer look on Monday when it’s out of the studio. If I can’t figure it it’s a trip to the luthiers… Jonny

The great 'Selling Gear I Never Use to Fund A Custom ACG' Sale continues! This has been on and off my board quite a bit over the past year but I've moved to a purely clean DI now, so it's time for this to move on. Comes in great condition with velcro attached, original feet come in the box though if that's more your bag. Rather not have a trade, unless it's the Origin Effects Super Vintage probably, as I'm saving up for my dream bass. Based in Dumfries and would rather meet to sell, but posting could be an option. Give me a shout!

Rosie C started following Octave mandolin for sale

Up for sale, my Thomann octave mandolin in GDAE tuning. Comes with: Soft gig bag Hard case Factory fitted pickup & 3-band EQ D'Addario strings in GDAE tuning (G - .045", D - 0.28", A - 0.18", E - 0.11") It has a flat solid spruce top and flat maple back. Scale length 58.4cm. It was my spare for gigging, but I've changed band now and don't play mando in the new band. The hard case is pretty sturdy but the handle isn't very well balanced. Better for stacking in the van than carrying a long way. I'd prefer you to collect, but I can post to Basschatters with good feedback. But if you collect you get to try it first. Today I decided to learn some Fugazi songs. I knew there were some great bass parts but I'd never realised how great. I learned Waiting Room first, dead simple and absolutely brilliant then on to Turnover which was much more tricky and so much fun to play. Going from the fast middle riff back in to the main riff is really tricky (for me) Any recommendations for more I should learn?

thisisswanbon started following Epiphone fixer uppers- £75 for the pair and Laney Richter R5 210 combo - £75

Laney Richter R5 210 combo - £75 Old school 210 combo, sounds massive. As heavy as you'd expect a 23 year old combo to be, and far louder and "heftier" than the class D stuff kicking about today. In decent nick for its age - works absolutely fine. Got the extension 115 cab but this doesn't work - I'll throw this in if wanted incase anyone can fix it Too heavy to post I'm afraid so collection or local drop only

Bought brand new back in December 2023, features all the bells and whistles you’d expect from the GK stable - 4 band EQ, contour switch (for scooped mids) and boost switch. I’ve used it a fair bit this year, but the only issue with it is something was dropped on it at some point, denting one of the rear corners. Doesn’t affect the sound or the structure of the casing, so otherwise it is in great condition. It has recessed side handles and casters attached which are easily removed, and comes with a custom made padded cover made by HotCovers. These retail for around £1100 new (without the cover), looking to shift it pretty rapidly as I have gigs pending, so the asking price is £700. I am open to sensible offers…. Selling because it’s too big for my needs. Located on the Isle of Wight, but can meet at any of our ferry ports (Portsmouth/Southampton/Lymington/Southsea) for collection. I can also personally deliver for an additional £50 to cover my ferry fare, within a sensible distance, London or an equivalent location distance wise would probably be my limit. Thanks for looking. 😊
