  1. Past hour
  2. Who don't do the TI version? The Jazz Bass equivalent is this: https://guitarpartscenter.eu/en_US/p/BOSTON-JB-410-bass-pickguard-TI/11291
  3. Just sending you a PM that may interest you, Steve...
  4. Not possible to get to London that early on a Sunday
  5. Too cool for me. I was a devotee of Flip of Hollywood in Covent Garden. The jeans were expensive but they had some great old work shirts and I seem to remember getting some Carhartt trousers there (but the memory isn't what it was so I may have imagined that). I definitely bought my 6th form school 'suits' from there in 1989 - 50s sports jackets, shirts with absurd collars and some very interstingly-cut trousers. All for the price of a Fosters or Top Man shiny number. I must have looked an absolute case but I loved it. About 5 years ago I was in a micro-pub with a mate and some guy recognised me as ´that kid from school who had the crazy vintage gear' and said he had always thought I was really cool. So someone liked it. Admittedly that someone was drinking on his own on a Wednesday night, but you take what you can get, I suppose!
  6. Read that as "strap ons" at first, and got a bit confused.
  7. I'd imagine that depends on the order value - yours is twice as much as mine, Andy.
  8. Me too. Got a couple of cracking tort 51 scratchplates from a seller in China and 6 clip on tuners from a promo Reverb were doing. Clip-ons were £3 each so I wasn't too fussed that 2 were faulty.
  9. Ah. Ok. I got free postage…weirdly
  10. Feet don't affect the sound but they do make the cab more durable. I can't fathom any reason to not have them. However, the Markbass cab corners do extend past the panel, so they do act as feet of a sort. They also interlock when cabs are stacked, so that's the reasoning behind them. For added protection I'd add feet to the cab that's going to be on the bottom of the stack.

  12. I had one of these, sometime back. I made the mistake of selling, when attempting to thin the herd.... and I missed it. But hey, one came up for sale on here, and it was local to me - so I decided to take a trip down memory lane and gave it a whirl. The upshot of that, was me buying it. These China-made Classic Vibe basses are indeed absolutely brilliant, and well worthy of cult status.
  13. Also selling a Yamaha Pacifica 112 for £500 (down from £900 last week!) and a 'new' Ibanez Talman for £560 despite them being £250 new from any retailer. Pipe dreams or scammer??
  14. No, that's including the postage
  15. Have they gone up £7?!
  16. It’s long gone…
  17. While the deadline is midnight tomorrow , I won’t get to setting the vote thread till tea time when I get home from work , as long as it’s here by then all is cool , and if they’re anything like mine , they are never finished , they are set out into the world on a hope and a prayer to find their way in this cruel, cruel world. 😁
  18. Hmmm, I suppose I’ve been lucky then. Admittedly only bought two items from Reverb, both basses, one collected the other posted. Both were good transactions, can’t remember how well the posted one was packaged which to me says must have been good as I’m sure I’d remember a clown-show.
  19. I'm the happy new owner of Emmett's Behringer Brassmaster pedal - and what a joy it is! It arrived in excellent condition and very well packaged. Cheers Emmett!

  21. This is how I received a bass the last time I bought via Reverb almost 4 years ago, sold by some idiot who could only be bothered to post it 3 weeks after I'd paid for it. Once unwrapped ('unboxed' would be entirely inappropriate) I found it unpadded, dirty and covered end to end in flecks of white paint, with the worst setup I've ever seen. As Wolfram said above, I've used the site to browse since but I've then tried to find the retailer's own website to buy direct. I'm extremely hesitant to ever buy privately off Reverb again. Awful experience.
  22. Epiphanies less Paul, but there's no Paul in Epiphanies, so how could he become less.
  23. Reportedly, and also from my own experience, Music Man are extremely particular about parts. I think you're probably best off contacting them directly. They'll likely ask you to send the part to them before they'll send out another. I hope I'm wrong, and that my case was the odd one out (took a year before I received a fitting pot for my NOS Bongo).
