Sandberg California II TM4 High-gloss San Remo Blue
petecarlton replied to Stofferson's topic in Basses For Sale
You might get a bit more interest in your new low price if you were to include it in your title, e.g. PRICE DROP £1000. Just click on the the three dots to the right of the original post and you should see "Edit". Then you'll be able to edit the title box. GLWTS - I agree this is a ridiculously low price for such a quality bass.- 9 replies

Well, the email advising me that the refund for the ticket cost (£47) was on its way to me, was received on Friday 18th April 24. It's now Wednesday 23rd April and the refund status is still showing as "Pending". Not impressed.

Tube power stage vs Class-D (effective power)
tauzero replied to Paddy Morris's topic in Amps and Cabs
That's more down to the sensitivity of the human ear to different frequencies. A guitar is playing in the range of frequencies that the human ear is most sensitive to, and the bass in the range that it's least sensitive to. Edit: I'm catching up at the moment, I see this has been addressed. -
Not at all - I'm very happy to carry on with long stories with various plot twists about old basses. There's enough trash talking in the real world and I come here for a bit of a break.

Do you want to get back to trashing Talkbass? Carrots, tort, flats, yada yada yada

Tube power stage vs Class-D (effective power)
agedhorse replied to Paddy Morris's topic in Amps and Cabs
There are a couple of reasons for using a 200 watt module… the first being that the amp is not operated at 4 ohms, therefore the rated power is only 100 watts. The second reason is for duty cycle management combined with the modeling algorithms, specifically relaxing the compression and limiting attack time versus how hard the amp is driven. There’s a ton of stuff going on under the hood. -

Probably you can have a (mono) fx-loop/insert on the SEND jack and simultaneous use the RETURN jack as an AUX input for practice. That is actually a rather flexible use of those 2 jacks, although I would have much preferred one of the options being TWO mono fx-loops/inserts... : )

Sorry I've got that the wrong way round. Expr on the return and a trs (insert cable) on the send. 1h 3m 38s But its controlled i believe by the fx loop block and you have 4 modes, one does this function

I bought back a few packs of labella flats, having beaten the store up for a multi buy discount and made a handsome profit. Partner so impressed to be handed a 50% profit that on a more recent trip she told me she’d take the kids away for a bit so I could “investment-shop”

I’ve never heard it called that before … 🧐

I'd check these: https://shop.pedalparts.co.uk/product/klbm3 https://www.rapidonline.com/catalogue/search?Query=lumberg&Size=60 https://www.bitsboxuk.com/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&keyword=dc+socket

It's interesting then that the manual doesn't advertise this use of the return in that case, good if it does work though!

Don't own this any more but this is my old cheapo rat Jazz I threw together from random bits off here and AliExpress/eBay: The pickups were old MiM units, the body was from a low end vintage MiJ copy (already sanded/stained when I got it) and the neck was from a very nice old Japanese copy. Tuners, neck plate and bell plate were new cheapies, the bridge here was a nice quality Korean unit. God know how many bridges and tuners this thing had over the years, lots of extra holes but it had a certain charm. If anybody wanted to know what those old butcher block Fender copies from back in the day look like when the paint is sanded off well, here you go.
