Immaculate Ashdown Ant, boxed and in good working order. Home use only. I’ve had a set up change in my home studio so this is now surplus to requirements. It’s a great sounding little thing and the 200 watts into 4 ohms or 140 watts into 8ohms are punchy and loud. Price includes postage to locations within the UK. Photos to come.

Local Social Club in Sunderland called Steels on Saturday night, a bass playing mate sent me this pic. Big club but had a full house with a great crowd in 👍🏼

...and as it was a rainy afternoon got the drawers done. Not my best piece of woodwork - I may end up re-doing the drawers as while they do work there are a lot of rough edges. Also ended up riveting the bottom and back sections to the sides as screws were not working in the HDF. Also not happy with the lime green paint so have bought some fluorescent tape instead. Now just waiting for the tape and of course the black light to turn up...

Saw them a couple of times in the early 90's when they were touring VDOP and Darrell was still a "Diamond", first time they were supporting Megadeth, then on their own tour with Gruntruck supporting. Savagery both times. That plec on the left was used to play By Demons Be Driven 😉

Pickguard for Lakland DJ-5
Jean-Luc Pickguard replied to mikeywbass01's topic in Accessories and Misc
I’ve had a few from Brian — The ones I bought were always a very good fit and he has a wide range of materials to choose from. -
I used to just mumble incoherently if I didn’t know the lyrics. Probably explains why I’m no longer a vocalist.

I’ve just snagged a 120W valve guitar amp head from eBay and all being well I’ll pick it up tomorrow morning. My plan is to use the iron and valves (and possibly some of the hardware) for my build, harvest any other usable parts, and move on the headshell. I have a slightly more compact headshell that I obtained in a trade. The new amp should deliver 100W+ from four 6L6GC valves but I haven’t yet decided what to base it on.

As far as I'm aware the 734/5 is the only BB to get the dark brown to black sunburst rather than the more traditional sunburst with the reddish hues like the P34/5. Like you, I much prefer it. As you say, it's very classy. I think I still prefer the range before this, but if I want a modern active then this is it... just behind the BBPH 😁

Bought from Bass Direct and didn’t get on with it, I must be the exception as everyone seems to love them! Used on bass for a very short period at home only, so as new condition. Check for compatibility on Hipshot website but this fitted my Fender Player P Bass perfectly. Obviously has all the parts and screws and instructions in original box. Will post at cost (probably around £6) in UK. Any questions please ask!

Compact budget PA set-up to put bass through (without back-line).
Al Krow replied to Al Krow's topic in PA set up and use
I'm wondering whether picking up a solitary 910A as and when it appears, rather than waiting for a pair might be a good alternative approach? 😊 On a completely separate note, and just thinking aloud (!): would it make any sense to try using a 12" PA speaker on the floor or if we have one going spare (or even better, your 745A!) and just use for low bass and kickdrum with crossover set at (say) 120Hz, plus HPF maybe at 30Hz, and then let your tops just deal with everything above 120Hz? I suspect you would get a bigger sound than just your two 310A tops, and not have the weight of a heavy sub to deal with? What do you reckon? -

It’s also good to use at the end of a board because it has an effects loop so you can run everything through it and so it has a proper buffer and stops tone suck from running loads of pedals, long cables etc. They definitely make your bass sound better, is a subtle low end boost and real clarity. I said to myself that next time a used one comes up that I would definitely get it, as they’re fantastic, but I’m gonna need to sell first 😬 😕

Hi all! Bought this as a newbie as it was one of the pedals I thought I needed but I haven’t used it at all bar a few little tries. I tested it against 6 other octavers and it was easily the best but it just will never get used for my preferences in playing style and music I like. Brand new condition as you can see, I haven’t even used the feet and there is no Velcro on it. Boxed with all the bits as new. New to selling on here but a long eBay history (robdob444 on eBay) and huge history and feedback on Retrobike too. Price includes insured postage. Will be cheaper collected obviously. Any questions please ask!

Musicman BFR Stingray Special HH Kingpin. Ball Family Reserve Birdseye Maple Fingerboard, Black and Gold Hardware. Purchased as a collectors item, have decided to sell. This retailed for £3699 at BassDirect, build 2021. BFR: "This is a Ball Family Reserve Instrument. A limited Relase and was crafted with the absolute greatest of care and precision, using only the finest materials in the best traditions of Enrie Ball Music Man" Certificate of Authenticity, Hardcase, Case candy, Original owners receipt. This has not been played more than on the couch since buying. To be honest its so nice I have been afraid I would scratch it! It is immaculate without a single scratch, scruff or blemish. Simply the nicest bass I have ever owned, however my heart is after US made Spector and I need to raise money. * At this price level I expect any buyer would want more photos, a video etc. I am happy to provide those too.
