  1. Past hour
  2. I think quite a few bassists here play drums too. I used to but the kit had to make way for children. I’d love a little fusion kit again one day. This post can happily live in “Other Instruments”! Nice kit
  3. Basschat, reference my last status, thank you for being an awesome place to be. None of that other ****, just bass 😍

  4. I’ve just disabled my social media and I’m looking forward to having a break from the constant doom & gloom, thirst traps and selling flesh for validation posts.
(Make sure you follow Bass Gear Magazine on YouTube, Facebook and Insta though as all the good stuff from me will go there still )

  5. And It's $4400..wow
  6. Selling this complete setup for a bargain price. Amp has been gigged maybe three or four times and is in immaculate condition. This amp is capable of so much it's rather overwhelming to try and write it all down, but chances are if you're looking at this you know what it does so I will just link to the Boss website. The footswitch and BT adapter make the whole setup much more versatile, especially for live work, and the gig bag is a perfect fit and finishes off the setup nicely. Only selling as I am no longer using effects and am looking to go back to a simpler setup. I have the original boxes for the amp and the footswitch. Just to be clear, only the GA-FC footswitch at the bottom of the board is included in the sale.

  8. I have a BB400S fretless bought in the mid 80s. I really ought to use it more!
  9. For oldies how about. Tree The Dourmost Sad Company
  10. Purchased brand new in 2019 from Laurence Dixon Bass Place. These basses are crafted in a master workshop in Hungary and completed in Laurence's workshop by Andras Lovaszi. More info here: https://www.laurencedixonbassplace.com/the-lovaszi-bass This particular bass is fitted with the more premium endpin as can be found on the more expensive Stella model. A brand new Luna model currently costs £8000. I have performed with it a lot over the past 6 years and it has picked up a few scars over that time - most notably a small crack in the front which was properly repaired by Laurence (the top taken off and the crack properly reinforced). It also has a couple of very small cracks on the side which have been glued, again by Laurence. The fingerboard is in excellent condition and has a lovely flame to the finish. The neck is really smooth, no chips or dents. It its currently strung with Evah Pirrazi strings. Case included in sale. Located in Penge - South East London.
  11. @Dad3353 I think the rest of u's can ignore.
  12. Big oooof from me! That's stunning.
  13. As long as the fun is there, its worthwhile. 👍 Dave
  14. Yeah, I'd love to have seen them in the early days, but it's been a million years since they've done anything worth seeing, by all accounts. I did see Patricia Morrison playing with The Damned in a pub in High Wycombe once, and we chatted about the Sisters for a bit.
  15. Today
  16. Great! That's the answer! Works. Having said that I think that the Ashdown preamp rather compliments the Ashdown power amp ...... putting the Digbeth in as a replacement, isn't as pleasant as using it at the front end, even with the Ashdown Pre flat or the EQ turned off. But many thanks!
  17. There's the "Sisters of Murphy" who have been doing the rounds for years as a Sisters tribute. The version of the Sisters currently fronted by Eldritch sound like a third rate techno outfit, so I'd definitely prefer to see a tribute if they can capture the intensity of the pre-Floodland band.
  18. Seymour Duncan Rickenbacker neck pickup for sale with box. Unfortunately when I bought it one of the mounting lugs had been bent and broken off. The other side is fine. I’m sure it could be used as is or could be repaired. The pickup sounds great and was in my Gibson EB0 bass - I had it held in place under the metal cover. Now surplus to requirements as my original Mudbucker has been repaired. Price includes UK postage. Seymour Duncan say….. This Rickenbacker neck position replacement adds warmth, clarity, and increases the tonal range over stock a Ric neck pickup. We use two ceramic magnets and special windings to achieve this boost. This pickup is also slightly hotter and warmer than the originals, as well as hum-cancelling. Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, the Rickenbacker bridge position replacement pickup uses two alnico bar magnets, 4-conductor leadwire, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal free operation. The neck model features ceramic magnets, a nickel silver cover, 4-conductor leadwire, and is also vacuum wax potted for squeal free operation.
  19. I had one of these with my Peavey MIDIbass. I should not have sold that.
  20. Thanks Dave. Yes, it seems to be a regular occurrence for me these days. Lytham St Annes on Thursday and Felixstowe on Saturday this week.
  21. As much as i liked Bruce Foxton in The Jam i think Ali McMordie was the better player for me. His style suited SLP better. Both great players tho. Dave 200 mile trip home is a fair old jaunt. All credit to you on that one. Dave
  22. Bargain pedal from a reliable seller.
  23. I'd not heard of this bum before but I definitely won't be giving him any clicks. Good on Danny Sapko for exposing this fraud.
