Has anyone seen, or played with, one of these yet? Looks like a serious contender. https://www.darkglass.com/creation/anagram/ (Can feel my gas rising....)

I don't like the form factor. It seems as if when you step on one of the footswitches, the whole unit will rock forward towards you? I don't know. I would be hesitant to take it on tour!

As it happens, they are for that bleach- and perfume-loving nation the French. The word 'parfum' means scent AND flavour. Found that out years ago in 'gay (?!) Paris' when I ordered an ice-cream and the guy asked me what 'parfum' I wanted. Now isn't that interesting? I'll get me coat.

True. Far more exact comment than I wrote.

There's a load of UK sites offering custom bass bodies, I've seen Paulownia offered on a couple (can't recall which), but I think given you want quite a niche model you'd be best off dropping each of them a message

I have an old 1988 NT5 and I have no issues with neck dive, the body is quite heavy so that helps balancing things out. The first fret seems a long way away if you're familiar with Fender type basses, I've played a couple of Warwicks before I got this so I got used to it quickly. It has THE Warwick sound, and the B string is probably the best I've encountered. It's also great in drop A tuning. They're certainly a little out of the ordinary but I love mine.

Anyone read the replies ? Post #1 says Reverb bought by Fender's owner's Servco r. What follows is a whole load of waffle where folk think Servco buying Reverb means they have FMIC running it, one eejit even says he's glad no generic private equity firms are in control. Guess joined up thinking is a thing of the past 🤣

I've also always been very wary of couriers and instruments - however, recently I had a courier recommended to me by Manton Customs, who I was shipping a bass to for repair. https://lenspeedlogistics.com these guys are the real deal - the courier who collected my bass is a musician himself, and I gather the company was formed in part by musicians who were sick of having expensive equipment royally kicked about by the usual suspects. I can recommend them!

This is my bitsa; Fender AVRI 62 neck, Fender MIJ P Bass body refinished in sonic blue nitro, a Creamery pickup, and a mix of Gotoh, Hosco, and Fender hardware. It's very light, coming in at 3-point-nine-something kg.
