  3. Maybe Behringer should do the same and put a list of synths on their web page and we can vote on which one they rip off..oops.... sorry...'create a homage to' next. 😆
  4. Money Changes Everything - Cyndi Lauper
  5. This is silly money for SUCH a great head. Shame these heads with proper iron don't get the right price in the market imo. Best of luck with the sale. Someone's gonna grab a steal.
  6. What a stunning bass. Did it sell??
  7. If you stop contributing to the tonewood debate, it might go away? Wishful thinking, I know...
  8. Pretty much anything with a clean blend will work for bass and retain the low end.
  9. Interesting looking course from Neil at NRG: https://www.pedalpatch.co.uk/workshops?mc_cid=f4d8a5f6c9&mc_eid=377f14edc2 Given he makes one of my top three overdrives and it looks like the below inside, it may be worth a look! I think I have a clash that date but definitely sounds interesting for the future.
  10. Thank you! It’s based on a P bass that the OW team built for Trevor Barry. I went with a PJ for a little more flexibility!
  11. I thought this was another Marillion thread at first.
  12. Thanks Nik ... but I am willing to entertain a very close offer. PS, I also swapped the strings to a nearly new set of DR Hi Beams which suit the bass really well (get your clank on) and allow for lovely, low action.
  13. Recently completed a purchase with David, good comms, a very smooth transaction just like you want when buying online. Deal with in confidence. Thanks again David
  14. And there's me thinking the price of vintage Fenders was over the top. I'll see myself out...
  15. Another recommendation for the Nobels - I have one and it's great. They also comfortably come in below £100: https://richtonemusic.co.uk/Nobels-ODR-Mini/?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD_dMP2mU7HJHM6ivOpTCYajXwLUO&gclid=Cj0KCQjwzrzABhD8ARIsANlSWNNJYcfn9nLX3jXkUS2tdd738P0Vnvt9mcdi5BlMFu_zKHNLvU8O4hAaAg4YEALw_wcB Looks like they've issued a v2 with adjustable bass control: https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/product/241007430618008--nobels-odr-mini2-mini-overdrive-pedal?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD76p-3t5uLD4DbNS_Iy7Q0NGNOTb&gclid=Cj0KCQjwzrzABhD8ARIsANlSWNNtv6M9Gqi6-KnAmZPBtqecq2szHBli9ceQdPmn2AKH0WZASIj_-n4aAsHsEALw_wcB
  16. Mmm . . . that PJ5 looks amazing.
  17. Nobels ODR-1 (yes another guitar pedal) is famous for its prominent low end and is available in mini format. The full-size version has top-mounted jacks so would probably save you as much ‘board space.
  18. I stand corrected by my previous post. I've fancied a jazz bass recently. My first bass was a jazz bass copy, but it could literally be used as an anchor during a tropical storm so I don't regret moving it on. However, I've got a hankering for that familiar tone. I've tried out a couple of Player IIs and they were really nice to play and sounded good to my ear, plus not a bad weight for either of them. I wouldn't say no to a jazz in the Aquatone Blue or Olympic White. They both made me feel like the £749 street price was probably worth it. I have never played a Sire for a comparison though.
  19. I was wondering if anyone can recommend an accessory gig bag that will accomodate the following: Class D head 3 x instrument cables Speaker cables x2 IEC cable Hercules mini-stand 4-way reel Bass Bar stand (https://caswells-strings.co.uk/product/the-bass-bar-double-bass-stand/) Ipad Pockets for odds and sods such as picks, wireless, page turner, chargers etc etc.... I've found bags that will take most stuff, but it's the Bass Bar that causes problems! Currently looking at stuff like this: https://www.thomann.co.uk/flyht_pro_gorilla_soft_case_gac410.htm But I'm finding it hard to visualise how much stuff fits in one. This looks like it might be good, but could be too big: https://www.gear4music.com/Recording-and-Computers/Trojan-Pro-Cable-Gig-Bag-40/6TA6 Basically at the moment I carry three separate bags/cases plus the instrument/s, and it'd be good to reduce that down to one if possible! All recommendations gratefully received.
  20. Good, I for one don't need your beautiful, reasonable priced bass guitar.
  21. Pink, baby blue, white, brown, black, red, orange, yellow, blue, violet.
  22. Green Hooker springs to mind.
  23. I have played OW basses since 1999 and I currently have 3. A J5 deluxe, a PJ5 and a hybrid 6. They are the best basses I’ve played and in my 40 year career, I’ve played a few!!
  24. Corporate Green wash Day
  25. I had one of the last Dimension Elites in the trans Cayenne finish for about eight years. Only traded it in, as I needed the trade-in collateral when buying my KingBass Mk-II. The Dimension HH was a great bass and a MusicMan HH slayer. Hopefully Fender will do a reissue sometime.
