That looks like it will move some serious air. -
Just found this video of their opening song, the only played off the new album! A pretty mellow introduction. Then Traveller of Time and Space off the previous one.

Ooooft the green with black hardware is succulent. Still prefer a non painted neck but could let that slide. The 73x inlays are excellent. Love the look.

Recently bought this but too large for my needs. 4 butterfly clips and lid comes straight off. 3 handles on each long side. Very, very sturdily built with aluminium edging and ball corners. Standard stuff. Would estimate the weight to be around 10kg but can weigh if someone was interested Exterior dimensions: 81 x 61 x 39 cm Interior dimensions Without lid: 76 x 56 x 28 cm The lid adds another 7cm in height. Lined throughout with 1cm thick hard foam. Prefer collection but can be posted at cost. I estimate it would be around £30 with Parcelforce. I would send it as-is; without packaging.

Russ started following Rex Brown on SBL

Saw them at a "secret" gig at The Marquee back in January '93. That was an insane gig. Nearly tripped over Dimebag's pedalboard when stagediving. Subsequently saw them several more times. They were amazing live. But I've no interest in seeing the new version - not because of it "not being Pantera" (I'm fine with the idea of Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante being in the band), but entirely because of Phil Anselmo and his bigotry, and buying a ticket would be a tacit endorsement of that.

This is definitely my favourite colour of the BB73* range! I noticed the Sunburst on the P34/5’s is different to this, this is darker which is presumably the ‘coffee’ part - really classy looking! The crimson red is definitely growing on me, but I’m very much looking forward to getting one of these in this colour!

A wide switch topper might ease your anxiety. Could also swap the encoder for a less tall one. Or external switcher, which is fairly essential to add stuff like expression control anyway. There’s a TB member who said his was due to arrive today. There should be a bunch going out this week.

Bought off eBay recently to try out 5 strings again. A great bass but I am sticking with 4strings 😛 Only notable wear are a couple of marks on the headstock (see photo) but otherwise there are no other signs of wear and no issues with the electronics. This is a great 5 string with a lot of clarity in the low B string, and a great low action. No gig bag but happy to meet up within a couple of hours to deliver or can post safely wrapped. £875

Suburban Man started following TC Electronic BH250 Amp, boxed - £135

My neat, little, but chunky, BH250 for sale, excellent cosmetic condition, all working perfectly. A solid state amp that has mostly lived indoors and been well looked after. The built-in tuner is useful and the TonePrint feature enables you to download and check out a whole host of effects. Comes with a mains lead. Postage at cost if you want me to mail it to you.

I’ve got a Coffeeburst 734a on hold with someone till month end - it’s strung with flats and will be used for different gigs, but I can’t wait. I am seriously thinking about tinkering with the electronics on them but we’ll see

Any VIPs out in the wild yet? Would love to hear some real world feedback regarding that potentially dodgy right switch/pot placement, as even raised I still feel like it wouldn't last a week of my gig stomping! 😅

How long do You use a set of flatwound strings?
msb replied to Johannes's topic in General Discussion
I have flats on most basses , usually TIs on long scale basses and LaBellas on the shorts. I have on occasion decided that perhaps they were due for a change. I have no idea how long they had been on. I do have a few with rounds. Some are regularly changed. A few have ancient rounds. My Longhorn still carries the factory strings , it was made around 98 or so years ago, and saw constant use for years. My hands do not sweat much , I do wipe them down anyway. I usually pick up 4/5 sets of strings most years. -

It's always a pleasure to deal with Jim. We've bought and sold items with each other a few times, with Jim most recently purchasing a pedal from me. He's knowledgeable about pedals and always happy to chat about them. Very highly recommended as a buyer or seller.

I wouldn’t be the one to give you expert analysis but it’s just a sound better box to be honest. Based on Neve 1073 so as if your bass signal was going into a nice channel strip in a studio. You can decide how much saturation you get by changing gain and compensation with level. This will not work as an eq It does have an amp out which you could use to continue your signal and have the option of the xlr out. As well.

Seems a bit of an odd thing, that Overlord function, is that what's new with this version? Just feel like anyone looking to have that kind of tone will already have something separate for the fuzz (the Doom 2, for example!) that'll be much better and more usable. Seemed to get lost with the clean blend as well? Nice to hear it though, does sound good but it's a big price tag and hard to get compared to the many other octavers out there that sound very similar. Worth the outlay?

You mean you don't lift the needle off the record after each phrase then write it down? 😳 Or rewind the cassette? 😯 Sheesh 🙄
