What's Unique About Your Primary Band?
Leonard Smalls replied to Bluewine's topic in General Discussion
"Punk" band: We've got 2 bass players We have added funk Some of our songs are quite complex and have far too many notes 😁 Other (whatever it is!) Band: All the other members apart from me have previously found some level of fame... Sequencers and backing track E-Drums Big Bass grooves and Wall of guitar moments... "Blues" band: More funky than bluesey Only blues band in the world that does a cover of Sylvester's "Do You Wanna Funk" Only blues band in the world that does a song based on an Ornette Coleman's Prime Time song... -

I've never bothered greasing them. So similar to my S2000. Interesting...

Lovely trio. I've been playing for over fifty years now and have had all the usual suspects, including Wal, Alembic, Spector, Dingwall, etc. overwater basses are the hands-down winners for me. Enjoy.

This is as hard-hitting as Lucinda’s songs, and to be frank it’s a wee bit too honest. But that makes it compelling reading, so if you like her music it’s a solid investment. If you don’t know who she is, consult YouTube immediately… Hardback, very good condition. RRP £20, yours for £13 posted. Now just £11.

Well I can tell you the 5-string version was very light, and this is obviously a little lighter again. They sit on the strap at a similar angle to a Status S2 design. Very central and perfect balance. I will say that the narrower neck is even faster to whizz around on than the five, which was already very fast.

Just sold Will a Laney Digbeth DB500H bass head. Really easy transaction, great communications throughout and after as well. Deal with Will with the utmost confidence. Thanks.

I've been waiting for the 4 string to come along so finally went for it last night. Ever since I lost weight, I have struggled to get any of my basses to sit right. Maybe something to do with the angle that they sat against my stomach that they don't anymore. I've tried all of the usual routes - grippy strap, Ultralites, even my own version of the double strap but it's just not comfortable and after a couple of songs I start moving the bass around for the rest of the gig and end up with a sore shoulder. Hopefully the headless bass is the answer. Having never owned a headless bass before, if I do the mod with the thrust bearings, is it simply a matter of fitting or do I need to grease them as well?

I found another one with a bridge (?) like that, but the vast majority of the Skjold basses have more traditional ones, including the new range. Those look like pins. https://reverb.com/item/63509553-skjold-cathedral
