  1. Past hour
  2. Just received a bass I bought from @BaggyMan Great communication, keeping in touch throughout. Bass was packed well, and he scheduled the delivery to be on a convenient day for me. Thanks!
  3. Alternative search engine Crosby.
  4. Young Guns (Go For It) - Wham!
  5. If you are referring to my picture the top two cabs are the Trace Elliot compact 1153 and 2103X (I just took the badges off as I don't like them sideways)! And yes the 2103x had two 5 inch and two 10 inch drivers. Stingray is a translucent blue/green colour - possible my favourite colour for instruments!
  6. I've got one of these now. They really are excellent.
  7. Yamaha DXR 8 Active Speaker This unit has been used as a keyboard monitor and comes with brand new Yamaha outdoor semi waterproof cover and mains lead. It is in good condition although it has lost its control knob caps. Everything works as it ought to. It is in very good cosmetic condition It’s very powerful for an 8” active cab. Great little multi purpose speaker. The original woofer has been replaced with a recommended Fane equivalent. Power Output: Dynamic: 1100W (LF: 950W HF: 150W) / Continuous: 700W (LF: 600W HF: 100W) Frequency Range: 57Hz - 20kHz Inputs: XLR-3-31 x1 , INPUT2: Phone x2, INPUT3: RCA PIN x 2, THRU: XLR3-32 x 1 (Parallel with INPUT 1 ), LINK OUT: XLR x 1 Pole Mounts: 2 options - 1 straight and 1 angular socket for mounting at downward angles Dimensions: 280mm (11") x 458mm (18") x 280mm (11") Weight: 13.5kg (29.8lbs) Pickup preferred but I can post at buyer’s cost. It is very well built and the packed weight will reflect this so I envisage it will be around £20 to post it. UK only. Priced to reflect the replacement driver and lack of control caps.
  8. My recently built Greenboy 12/6 , and 15/6, although on the 15/6 I had to move the port to the rear of the cab, and add a false floor to get the "Vox" look ! I still LOVE 15's.
  9. What an excellent deal! If I didn't already have two of these I'd be biting your arm off! This won't last long.
  10. hey the greenish colour stingray is nice TE cabs ? 15/10 at top photo? I vaguely remember a 15 + 2x8 in the early 90's but might have been Laney
  11. King. It works for Prince AND Queen.
  12. I've got back into 15s and 18s this last year following about ten years of only playing 10s. Indeed I'm beginning to like the combination of 10s and 15s/18s in some of the following cabs. Yes I get that there can be cancellation when you do that however move slightly and it's not a problem! The combination just seems to give an interesting dimension to the sound for me. Current rig of favour: Two other fun options:
  13. I preferred the 1x15 more than the 1x18 + 2x10
  14. Pop Has Eaten Itself.
  15. Thanks for the reply.... but as I say, they have been leveled and crowned to a high level (not literally of course). And as far as I can measure they are dead flat if neck set dead flat.... So confused Ta though!
  16. price drop to £ 1150 / 1350 💥💥💥

  18. Monday night was good Looking forward to this evening's session - Wednesday is a blues trio thing. Fun
  19. further price drop to £ 3333 / 3900€ 💥💥💥
  20. Q - What separates your band from the other bands in the areas you work in? A - a mix of playing originals (we do covers too), playing darker / gothic songs and our instrumentation. Q - What do you have that others don't? A - There’s some real talent around here but I think it’s our overall package. Q - If you were pitching your band to a prospect, what would be your bast selling point. A- We’re good at what we do, we’re easy to work with and we manage to take our music seriously without taking ourselves too seriously as people. Q - You can also add in areas where you think your band struggles. A - Just being too left field for what is a rural county. We’re flexible but fairly uncompromising.
  21. I Can't Go For That (No Can Do) - Hall & Oates
  22. Look I am pretty far away from being a luthier, but sounds like those frets might need a bit of grinding, they're possibly fractions of millimeters higher than they should be. I had buzzy frets around the 16th-17th where you can't really set the neck, AND I had high action. A luthier grinding them a bit fixed them completely.
  23. I think the HB is a rebadged Vitoos who also make Fender's various power supplies I think I want another pedal board so have been doing some reading,
  24. The Roxy Music tribute I play in has used projections for a couple of years now. We've made it as simple as it can be - I put together a three hour mp4 (edited on an excellent free programme called Shotcut) with appropriate, royalty free images and short video clips. We check with the venue well in advance to see if they have the facility to run it and about 70% of them do. We play 200-300 seater places - some have a projector and some ask for us to bring a laptop with the mp4 pre-loaded. I've always got a couple of memory sticks in my gig bag with the file on, too. It's not synchronised to what we're playing, but it adds another visual element to our performance and we often get people saying how much they enjoyed the "film." Occasionally some of the "screens" that the images get projected on are basically white bedsheets (with stains and creases) but from a distance, they look fine. My advice would be to get one done - it's quite a fun project - let the venues know you can provide one and always keep a copy handy, along with an HDMI lead or two. Ours is also available to download from our website.
  25. i still use an Ashdown ABM 1510HX from 1998 I am unsure why I like tis cabinet so much
