  2. Well I got it but my time leading to retirement is hectic, no rush, it will still be there in 4 weeks

    Darkglass Anagram

It’s all me, me, me with these guitarists😀
  4. The maximum 1.5 degrees (sponsored by the Climate Change Committee)
  5. Tis indeed a great filter.
  6. Thanks Pete, frankly much as I'd love to keep it, I have a new Mesa incoming so the Drophead will remain for sale. Until I sober up
  7. Eddie and the thermally-efficient rods
  8. 15" cabs don't fit in my car. 12" cabs do. So purely from a practicality point of view, I'll stick with the 12s, thanks.
  9. Honestly, I'm more of a dark fingerboard guy. As such, if anyone's up for a neck swap, let me know!
  10. May I add an extra lovely! Does this means you're hanging on to the Ashdown, Chris?
  11. Bought brand new back in December 2023, features all the bells and whistles you’d expect from the GK stable - 4 band EQ, contour switch (for scooped mids) and boost switch. I’ve used it a fair bit this year, but the only issue with it is something was dropped on it at some point, denting one of the rear corners. Doesn’t affect the sound or the structure of the casing, so otherwise it is in great condition. It has recessed side handles and casters attached which are easily removed, and comes with a custom made padded cover made by HotCovers. These retail for around £1100 new (without the cover), looking to shift it pretty rapidly as I have gigs pending, so the asking price is £700. I am open to sensible offers…. Selling because it’s too big for my needs. Located on the Isle of Wight, but can meet at any of our ferry ports (Portsmouth/Southampton/Lymington/Southsea) for collection. I can also personally deliver for an additional £50 to cover my ferry fare, within a sensible distance, London or an equivalent location distance wise would probably be my limit. Thanks for looking. 😊
  12. These things happen, and no apology needed. Yeah, the Behringer was mentioned earlier in this thread, when we compared a potentially £300 Lego to a £169 Behringer. I guess you thought that was a joke (or didn't see it), but it was the actual price at the time. I got mine for slightly less even, at 1/26th of the Norse price of a real Minimoog. I feel the Lego is cool as f, but for that money two Behringers give more sound. The Behringer hate must be strong in this one for me to opt for the Lego. BTW, there exists a synth manufacturer who uses lotsa construction set parts. Say a knob is actually a cog. Forgot the name and the details. Cool as the proverbial.
  13. I used to like the 810 due to having drivers up closer to your ears. My back of course no longer likes this solution! Nowadays I prefer 15's to anything. I run either two 15's stacked vertically or if with the 'two amp band', 4x 15's. They're all neo's so simple to move around. The cabs are fairly efficient and I use tube heads so volume is never an issue (except being too loud) Tonally I get everything from my basses rather than pedals and don't find 15's lacking in any way...
  14. I have a 2nd generation Barefaced Compact with a 15 inch driver, it's very good. In that video I prefer the sound of the Markbass as it sounds punchier with more low mids.
  15. I'm going to check what I have knocking about in the garage at lunchtime.
  16. Now I get it! I could never understand how people on Farcebook Marketplace had the gall to sell garage ridden overpriced guitar tat. They were just placing the instruments in a pro-toneworm environment to enrich the instrument's inherent musical qualities!
  17. I have a set of Dukes in my Jet Jazz and lovely things they are too. Great value at £65 for the set too.
  18. Whaddy think of this thread?
  19. Yes it is very light. With the original tuners a little heavier but definitely a bass you wouldn’t worry about playing a long set with. It’s also still available as all PMs have been replied to.
  20. Suddenly the Fodera P bass looks to be good value.
  21. Angel In A Raincoat - The Sleepers
  22. That is light, even for one of these! Certainly mine was about 3.4 Kg, if I remember rightly (unlikely), but it had a Hipshot drop D tuner. GLWTS
  23. The dark neck, also Warmoth, is also perfect on the swamp ash body, visually even more so, I'll do some shots of that later also Steve. To be honest the maple fretted nack really belongs on a lovely 70s 3TSB on which it does a very very nice Entwistle-esque tone 👍
  24. Machine Messiah - Yes
