Interesting! I assumed that trebly grind was all maple necked '70s P Bass, but some photos show a '60s white rosewood- necked P Bass with a DIY (?) green oversprayed burst going on?

That was covered in the thread, starting with the first reply.

I've owned and like them both. You're only way to find this out will be to try both imo....there's a few different algos between the two, but both really solid choices. βοΈ

How about a pair of 2x10s ? Modular sort of thing.... Quieter band stuff, single cab, bigger venues add another. Anyone have any experience with this kind of set up ?

Judging by the size of the average American, you be safer eating at Greggs. WHO data from 2022 places the USA in 13th place for high obesity rates, 42.87% of adults are classed as obese. Global Obesity Observatory has them in 10th place on 41.64%. WHO has the UK at 66th place with 28.71%, it's 55th with the GOO at 26.94%..

The AG is very clean, especially flat and i honestly wouldnβt say it has its own sound or noticeable flavour really, just a 4 band eq and deep/bright switches which are nothing exciting tbh. The Tone Hammer is much better IMO but again flat Iβd say itβs pretty non descript - clean with a nice EQ on it but no inherent flavour. The special sauce with the Tone Hammer is the AGS which is essentially a drive channel and thatβs what gives some valve amp like tones, ranging from very subtle to full on distortion. The tonehammer is very good but mainly because itβs so versatile when you tweak it you can do a pretty good approximation of any sound, but I wouldnβt particularly say itβs has its own sound at all

They used all the stickers for the Kramer Special because they didn't think anyone would buy these pre-blowout.

The FX return can be used as an external expression in. Personally I would not want to give up the FX-loop for that though. I would buy a exp-to-midi converter for an expression pedal. link to the manual: https://www.darkglass.com/anagram-manual/#Rear_View ----------------------------------- Edit: On TB someone says you can use a splitter cable and connect a exp-pedal AND an audio return. The manual says: "Return (exp): A dual function ΒΌβ jack supporting either a stereo return or an expression pedal input." I am not sure what to think of this...

Funny that we're on an Octaver kick, since I just got a Boss OC-5. I already have a MXR BOD, but I have two boards now and I wanted something with a nice octave up. In Vintage mode it gives me a digital octave up and a OC-2 style analog octave down. I watched a few videos before buying, but I'm discovering that even just a little of the +1 fattens the tone considerably, which I like and wasn't expecting. Still learning. The other pedal I got at the same time was a Landlord FX Cheeky Pint compressor, which I'm still dialling in a bit. Super cheap but seems solid enough. At the highest volume & compression, I seem to be clipping it a little if I play hard. By comparison, my Orange Kongpressor can take 12V and runs on 18V internally ... but cost me 5x as much.

I saw the Ghost-queue in Birmingham on Sunday and they were explaining how everyone would get their phones bagged. The Hawkwind gig was pretty good, people mostly just took the odd snapshot so no sea of videoing phones.

I noticed that too. A bit annoying. Boss do make a MIDI enabled expression pedal (EV-1-WL), but it's a bit spendy at Β£140. I still can't get on with the Darkglass tone though. That fizzy top end and seemingly disconnected low just doesn't sound good to me.

Back in the mid 80s a mate of mines brother used to fly over to the US, scour the junk shops and bring 2 Gibson Les Pauls back with him. The profit he made paid for the trips over there plus a nice little bit extra.

Yes this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Barrina-Blacklight-Aluminium-Fluorescent-Halloween/dp/B0CPHSLQTQ/ and poked the lead out through the old speakon input hole. It actually looks a lot cooler than in the pictures but doesn't quite photo so well. You get a neat glow through the tweeter as well. My daughter nabbed the other bar for her bedroom. -
It was the guy in the picture above, white slim guy with a beard, stellar player! Looking at their photos from this tour on IG though, I think they're using different musicians for different gigs, brass players at least.
