  2. Roland Bolt 60 The same Valve power section design as a Fender Deluxe Reverb Has Brand new Power Valves The Preamp needs attention as it is intermittently cracklly at the moment ( hence the price and parts listing classification) I guess it needs a service. I’ve been using it as a pedal platform bypassing the Solid State Preamp straight into the power amp and it that use case it’s given me no hassle. Collection only as lord know’s what devastation a courier might wreak!
  3. These are awesome cabs, I’ve got a couple of the 8ohm versions, been using them for a good 5 years and they’ve never let me down. GLWTS
  4. Or... learn to do it yourself?
  5. I recommend the Tech 21, Dug Pinnock pedal. I great pedal and it has a a great rattly guitar amp sound, when you dial up the drive and "Chunk" dials! Strong bass is always present.
  6. Desperate cry - Sepultiura
  7. Always the first test I give a bass. If it doesn't sound good unplugged, it doesn't usually sound good amplified either, unless it's running something like EMGs. Why? Don't know, but it's absolutely my experience of it.
  8. You'll probably want to lower your action to get some rattle/grind from the frets
  9. I've bought 2 wenge necks off Ebay. Both only needed minor fret work & that only cost me $25 NZ per neck. Great necks. And I've bought 1 Maple neck off Ali Express. Just needed similar work on the frets. So, all three have been good purchases for me & I'd happily buy again from either place. Here are pictures of all three necks on my made at home parts basses.
  10. ...Of All Desperations - Corpus Delicti
  11. Amazed this is still here, so here’s a bump. GLWTS
  12. I had Bergantino 112 and 210 cabs and the 210 didn't have feet on the right surface to stack with the 112. I didn't want to drill holes in those cabs so bought a set of feet from Maplins and placed them between the cabs. A good solution that didn't require woodworking tools or damage to the cabs.
  13. Make it a 120 gauge B string and I'll think about it 🤣
  14. I'll include an extra string in the asking price 🍻
  15. Bought a Aotearoa Intermodulator from Luke, great freindly comms, fast as you like postage, great pedal as described, cheers mate.

  18. I've owned a CV-5 and loved it, except for the fact that despite the J-buckers' and coil tap switches' versatility it couldn't sound like a Jazz Bass. I recently pulled the trigger on a J5 and totally love it. Schecter is awesome quality, and their thin C neck profile is just superb 👍
  19. In like new condition with velcro on rear. Checking it out in person is welcomed. Peter
  20. Even if you trust Ofcom to be proportionate under a set of rules that are clearly disproportionate, then compliance and dealing with an investigation costs money. Money that a lot of smaller forums just do not have. Some might have to close simply because of that. The court system is full of appeals due to disproportionate sentencing of all types. There is no reason to think this will be any different.
  21. Hello, I'm selling this MXR Bass Compressor. It's in almost new condition, with the original box. I'm sure everyone knows what to expect with these now - a nice and natural sounding comp, that's easy to use, with great visual metering too. I'm asking £115, which includes next day delivery. Any questions, shoot me a message. Thanks.

  22. Pics of the case damage, it’s all on the right side (body side) of the case like it’s got slammed into the floor. But you know, hardcases are going to hardcase.
  23. Had the opportunity to get a birth year Mapleglo Ric (so I took it, because of course you would). So up for sale is this great condition 2009 Mapleglo Rickenbacker in an effort to offset the cost of exactly the same bass but older. All original, great working order, no major dings or dents that I can see. Strung with D’addario Chromes and has the push pull pot on the second volume. Please note this comes with the pickup cover shown in the first picture and not the thumb rest treble bezel. Happy to ship this anywhere in the UK else, it’s available for collecting from Stockport area of Manchester. Bass comes with the official Rickenbacker Hardcase, but as I flew with it, it’s a bit dented and bent out of shape. It still works, I just wouldn’t recommend flying with it again and never should in the first place. (Pics in next post) Open to offers but no trades
  24. Who is that then...? Sounds very interesting...

  26. ...and if your bass is hi-Z ("passive"), or lo-Z, the fuzz/OD/dist pedal will sound different. Your options are: - works with your bass, put the pedal right after the bass - you have many basses with different outputs, a buffer or another pedal in front of the crunch pedal may be in order - buy all crunches that work with your basses And do lots of testing to find your own. I tried several side by side. EBS was terrible (for me that is), most of the Darkglasses likewise (except Duality), Muff's popularity I didn't get at all, Boss pedals were a chore... The variety of fuzz/OD/dist pedals (and even rack units) is so wide, that I really recommend using your own bass when testing. I even have one board for hi-Z basses, and two boards with different fuzzes (and compressors) for lo-Z basses. Believe me or not, you cannot mix and match every pedal with every bass.
