  2. That's more down to the sensitivity of the human ear to different frequencies. A guitar is playing in the range of frequencies that the human ear is most sensitive to, and the bass in the range that it's least sensitive to. Edit: I'm catching up at the moment, I see this has been addressed.
  3. Today
  4. Not at all - I'm very happy to carry on with long stories with various plot twists about old basses. There's enough trash talking in the real world and I come here for a bit of a break.
  5. Do you want to get back to trashing Talkbass? Carrots, tort, flats, yada yada yada
  6. There are a couple of reasons for using a 200 watt module… the first being that the amp is not operated at 4 ohms, therefore the rated power is only 100 watts. The second reason is for duty cycle management combined with the modeling algorithms, specifically relaxing the compression and limiting attack time versus how hard the amp is driven. There’s a ton of stuff going on under the hood.
  7. If I had a good excuse to have a second Tri12L I would; easily one of the best cabs, period.

Probably you can have a (mono) fx-loop/insert on the SEND jack and simultaneous use the RETURN jack as an AUX input for practice. That is actually a rather flexible use of those 2 jacks, although I would have much preferred one of the options being TWO mono fx-loops/inserts... : )
  11. I love my 750, great underrated head from the era of amazing TC bass gear
  12. Pedal/Gear clearout - All Pedals include shipping M-Audio 8 Track - £80(+box) EHX Multiplexer - £50 (+box) Vivlex tuner - £15 (+box) EHX Superego - £100 (+box) TC Helicon Voicetone r1 - £80 (-box) Caline Power 5 - £15 (+box) NI Maschine Mk3 - £350 (+box, brand new never used)
  13. Sorry I've got that the wrong way round. Expr on the return and a trs (insert cable) on the send. 1h 3m 38s But its controlled i believe by the fx loop block and you have 4 modes, one does this function
  14. I’ve got better wood from looking at it …
  15. I bought back a few packs of labella flats, having beaten the store up for a multi buy discount and made a handsome profit. Partner so impressed to be handed a 50% profit that on a more recent trip she told me she’d take the kids away for a bit so I could “investment-shop”
  16. I’ve never heard it called that before … 🧐
  17. I'd check these: https://shop.pedalparts.co.uk/product/klbm3 https://www.rapidonline.com/catalogue/search?Query=lumberg&Size=60 https://www.bitsboxuk.com/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&keyword=dc+socket

It's interesting then that the manual doesn't advertise this use of the return in that case, good if it does work though!
  19. Don't own this any more but this is my old cheapo rat Jazz I threw together from random bits off here and AliExpress/eBay: The pickups were old MiM units, the body was from a low end vintage MiJ copy (already sanded/stained when I got it) and the neck was from a very nice old Japanese copy. Tuners, neck plate and bell plate were new cheapies, the bridge here was a nice quality Korean unit. God know how many bridges and tuners this thing had over the years, lots of extra holes but it had a certain charm. If anybody wanted to know what those old butcher block Fender copies from back in the day look like when the paint is sanded off well, here you go.
  20. For many years I had a Gallien Krueger 200MB combo, the predecessor to the MB150 E and S. Used it for a load of club gigs. Light and only slightly larger than the 12" speaker in it.
  21. I had one years ago. What an amazing amp and such a bargain. GLWTS
  22. Expression is on the send jack and fx loop is on the return using a trs cable.

  24. My bitsa! Fender MIA Professional II P Bass body and Jazz neck. Hipshot bridge as the original seized up. Black pickguard and tugbar as I liked the look of John Entwistle's infamous 'slab' basses. Not shown here, but currently wired up with EMG GZR pickups. I have the original rosewood neck in storage, but not sure I will ever swap back. Prior to switching the neck I had a mint pickguard on the bass as I didn't like the dark Fender tort pickguard.

  26. Sounds like you're sorted, but worth mentioning that Harley Benton do a very compact range which are not spendy. Their Iso2 Pro looks like it also matches your spec.
