  2. Stray Cat Strut - The Stray Cats
  3. If you buy basses and avoid mentioning to your significant other that you've even bought one, never mind how much it cost, you're amongst friends here! Welcome back into the bass playing fold.
  4. Thanks for the suggestions. I really want to stick below £150. Any more and I’d almost justify buying a new bass that has a bag included! I’ll look into these and buy something!
  5. March In September - New Model Army
  6. I love this bass and even more I love the thought behind it.
  7. March to the sea - Baroness
  8. See You - Depeche Mode
  9. Bought some strings from David & everything was spot on as usual. Thanks again David, very much appreciated👍👍
  10. Bought brand new back in December 2023, features all the bells and whistles you’d expect from the GK stable - 4 band EQ, contour switch (for scooped mids) and boost switch. I’ve used it a fair bit this year, but the only issue with it is something was dropped on it at some point, denting one of the rear corners. Doesn’t affect the sound or the structure of the casing, so otherwise it is in great condition. It has recessed side handles and casters attached which are easily removed, and comes with a custom made padded cover made by HotCovers. These retail for around £1100 new (without the cover), looking to shift it pretty rapidly as I have gigs pending, so the asking price is £700. I am open to sensible offers…. Selling because it’s too big for my needs. Located on the Isle of Wight, but can meet at any of our ferry ports (Portsmouth/Southampton/Lymington/Southsea) for collection. I can also personally deliver for an additional £50 to cover my ferry fare, within a sensible distance, London or an equivalent location distance wise would probably be my limit. Thanks for looking. 😊
  11. Thank you! Again, the original listing had this as rosewood, so either their listing was wrong or they sent me a newer version. IDK 🤷‍♂️😊
  12. X-Ray Specs - The Lillingtons
  13. I use these and prefer a low action.
  14. Sorry been away gigging, but I had played the HB for a while the other day. Quite impressed for the money, but rather expectedly its no Taylor, but it'll definitely does the trick, surprisingly loud for such a little bass.Few sharp frets but action is low, onboard eq and tuner are great. Strings are horrible. 7/10 from me.
  15. Visions (Planet of doom) - Elephant Tree One of my current favourite bands
  16. I use a 2.5" Leeden Tor Hiestercamp with two medium weight basses (both just under 4kg). I went for the suede lining so it doesn't slip on my shoulder. Never thought the bass wasn't comfortable or not 'where I wanted it'. Expensive, yes. Worth it. Double yes...
  17. Will be in Preston next Wednesday...
  18. Yeah I’m down to the 45-100 Elixir Nickels as well, and on short scale basses so less tension than regular scale. Great strings.

  20. I rather like the Reunion Blues Oxford, but it's just slightly above you price (here it is anyway ndertons.co.uk/reunion-blues-rbx-oxford-series-electric-bass-guitar-gig-bag/). I did consider several of those mentioned above, but can't exactly remember why I didn't go for one of them, probably something to do with having bought the most expensive bass I've ever had and opting for a relatively "fancy brand" and Mono was too heavy and ridiculous for my needs (I'm very unlikely to be dropping my bass out of a hotel window from multiple storeys up).

  22. You got the jazz bass logo, well done mister
