  1. Past hour
  2. I know it's been a while since there was an update on this but i was in Martin's shop today dropping a Trace Head off for a service and asked about the 100w head. Martin has been moving to a new premises recently and is in the process of getting it properly set up, he said that once he was settled in then he'll be getting back on the 100W project as he wants to get it finished and into our sweaty paws. from the number of amps that i saw in for service today i'm guessing he has been fairly busy with the day to day repair work (on previous occasions i've had to wait a week or two before dropping amps off for service as there has been a backlog.) Matt
  3. We have a gig tomorrow for the very first time in the town where I actually live!
  4. No sir! It’s positively spiritually uplifting, is what it is! (not to mention the fabulous JMJ on Guild Starfire)
  5. Support act, Rick Backer.
  6. That vocal ain't sampled 👍
  7. Elegance and power in one single bass. Looks fab, and I bet sounds as well.
  8. … who says there’s no fun in music anymore?!
  9. Storm in a Teacup - The Fortunes
  10. Nerr nerr ne nerr nerrr!
  11. After we lost an upcoming gig a few weeks ago, I was panicing a bit. The one band has secured three plus a few promises/backup lists and I got a gig for the other band tomorrow. Now just hope the mass of messages (about 40) I sent out doesn't bring a tidal wave of offers!
  12. Awesome Origin Effects Bassrig 64 Black Panel compete with original packaging and cheat sheet. It's in fantastic condition with no velcro on the bottom. It sounds awesome!
  13. Just put a new clip connector and maybe some Deoxit in the pots: Your bass will be ready for the next 15 years. 😉
  14. My Y.O.B. wish I hadn't seen this 😳
  15. For £70-90 you could buy a harley benton kit with an oversize, unshaped headstock and a bonus box of bits that are mostly surprisingly serviceable and a very light, unfinished body.

    Darkglass Anagram

After watching the deep-dive video I think the Anagram can do 2 effect loops: 1. The effect insert through the Send jack. 2. Using one of the 'outputs' as a send and the Return jack as the return. Am I right, can someone confirm? (...GAS has returned...)
  17. I’ve lost count of the amount of original tracks I’ve ‘discovered’ due to them being sampled by someone else. The Ramsey Lewis track being a case in point. I’d not heard (of) it until someone told me it was where Beck took the bass line for Debra from. As I say, I think sampling can be hugely creative…
  18. My last attempt at selling a bass here before they go on commission sale in a week or two. I recieved this bass in a trade recently and it is absolutely stunning. Overwater make some incredible instruments but they can be on the weighty side. This one however is just 7.9lbs! It's a Custom 33" scale Progress 4 with a figured Walnut top, Swamp Ash body, Wenge/Maple 5 piece neck with the extended bolt-on neck joint, Rosewood fingerboard, MOP front and side dots and the wonderful Overwater 3 band EQ and pickups. It's in fantastic condition, has a new set of D'Addario strings, and it includes the Overwater branded Hiscox case. Collection from Margate or I can package the bass well if you'd like to arrange a courier. These are over £4000 new from Overwater so grab a bargain! UK-Price-Guide-2023-v3-1.pdf
  19. Visions of China. Japan
  20. Again quite poppy, but I love this, elements of Beach Boys and Devo, a heady mix...
  21. Same, its a real cracker Custom Sandberg and light, whats not to like. I'm confident any buyer will be extremely happy. Kept me GAS free for 5 strings and for 5 years too, which is a miracle by my GAS standards 😂
  22. Good Jazz bands do. I've seen established ones with long reputations that don't...
  23. My next solo act name..."Stingray Jack Socket"...
