  2. There does seem to be more to it than his drumming, just wonder why they didn't use "the musical differences", or "Zak's moving on to other projects" excuse, of course back in the day a young Roger Daltrey would have just thumped him
  3. Off The Warlock - Michael Jackson
  4. I The Witchfinder - Electric Wizard
  5. Rum and reggae is the perfect combination, I don’t drink now but that was my tipple, enjoy the sunshine and your weekend SumOne

    In Memoriam

This is very sad news. She seemed really lovely, RIP Sam.
  8. Saw Roger Daltrey with his band (Not the Who) at the Birminham Symphony Hall last year sometime. Still an excellent voice and excellent show, IMHO.
  9. The Wizard - Black Sabbath
  10. weight added in the description. 4.3 kg
  11. Lovely looking bass. As well as the truss-rod, do these have carbon rods reinforcing the neck?
  12. I've had a couple of them, both tobacco burst. Great easy to play little basses, for me the most comfy neck, 31 1/2" scale slim front to back and a 40mm nut width. Usual made in Japan Yamaha bb quality and heel access truss rod which I always like. I can confim the weight at 3.5 kg. Yamaha adjusable tuners which are quite heavy so there can be little neck dive, lightweight tuners took 150grms off the weight of mine and cured the slight inbalance. Great sound I would say a slightly refined P bass which seems to sit within the music really well.
  13. Latest news is that ZS 'smokes' rather a lot, and was at least 3 hours late for rehearsals for the RAH gigs. Possibly the wrong original member is getting the blame.
  14. This has just reminded me that I need to contact you to sort some Thunder Reds out - I'll wait until the Easter bunny has been now though.......😆👍
  15. Apparently it's been brewing for a long time. The kit is a Roland kit built into DW shells (by DW).
  16. Thanks Warren. I got the DarkRay version because I was specifically looking for a lightweight Ray in Starry Night finish. There were no Specials in this colour so.... I'm hoping its a circuit swap out at the worst; the bass is lovely......to be honest I'm happy enough with the clean 2EQ but I guess if I came to sell then who'd want a DarkRay without the Dark?
  17. Thought I'd post a photo of my trio. weight wise.. TT 3.6KG VS SL 2.7KG And the monster TM 4.9 KG. Which is loaded with a SD humbucker! The old style TM is the winner for sound and playability for me, slightly fatter neck than the California ii's , but a bit too heavy for regular gig use. Interestingly it seems the TT is loaded with splitcoils and not singlecoil. Kind of darker sound for a jazz to my ears.
  18. Thank you so much, we really appreciate it
  19. Oh no Mart! That’s not good. Hope you get it sorted.
  20. Perfection is often the enemy of the good! Get as good a sound as your budget and ability to transport allows: better than doing nothing right?
  21. So something's clipping, but is it possible the problem originates upstream of the amp? What's your entire signal chain?
  22. I'm guessing someone hadn't properly connected the lead to the desk output, which would account for both the hum and the lack of output. Didn't occur to me on the night it could be something as basic as that... but now noted for future reference!
  23. Jean Genie - David Bowie
  24. One of those issues that I am sure can be fixed by using a Behringer CT100, my most valuable item of gigging equipment!
  25. Cheers all to a long weekend. Sun is shining, rum and ginger is icy cold, reggae is playing (Handsworth Revolution as this thread reminded me I should. Disk 2 with the dub versions ♨️). The cat knows the score:
