Hi everybody, this is my first post, so fingers crossed, I get a result🤞 I've just bought a Fender Bassman TV FIFTEEN 350 watt amp, reissue from 2015. The chrome control panel is very tatty and scratched, so I searched online for a replacement and found nowt!! Does anybody know where I might get one, or even has one about their person 🤔

I am not familiar with him, what's his deal?

I saw them open for Rush (I think it was Rush) sometime in the early 1980s and they were great. Normally, at that time in my life, that would have spurred me to go to the nearest record shop and buy up their back catalog but it didn’t. That makes me wonder what went wrong; I do remember enjoying their show but I didn’t go and buy their records. Now I’m going to have to revisit their material and see if it strikes a chord with me or not.

Oh no, very sad news, I never met Sam but you can tell she was a lovely caring person, Rest in peace

I don't think there's many options at that scale tbh, those D'addario strings do a great job of getting a solid unamplified bass tone at a decent volume out of such a short length of string, almost physics defying! They just seem to fit right in with other acoustic instruments tonally and occupy a nice space. I did try the Thomastik AB34 on a 34" scale piezo equipped bass (Aria Sinsonido travel bass) but they sounded nothing like the D'addarios.

I don't think this was covered here, but according to Ibanez "2025 brings with it the long-awaited revamp of the SR prestige line. With nine new models in total, there’s an ideal instrument for every bassist out there seeking the comfort, tone, and playability of a Japanese-made SR." More infor on the Ibby site Quite fancy this SR3506 from the new model lineup...

One of the lesser known side effects of slap bass! We should be told.

Worst Amps. 1. A 1980s Carlsbro Cobra 90. I blew the speaker twice in it, very underpowered amp. 2. TC BH250. Sounded OK but died shortly after I bought it. 3. Ampeg Portaflex 350 head, again no welly at all.

This is very sad news indeed. I remember the terrible time she had with the fire and how this community stepped in with help and support. Her commitment to nursing and also her technical abilities were notable. She was the same age as me so that really hits home. May she rest in peace. 🕊️
