No recent posts on Twitter. Last one appears to be in March 2024.
  3. Dexy's Midnight Dunners* *Ed's note: To Dunn....'make persistent demands on (someone), especially for payment of a debt'.
  4. One of the lesser known side effects of slap bass! We should be told.
  5. Worst Amps. 1. A 1980s Carlsbro Cobra 90. I blew the speaker twice in it, very underpowered amp. 2. TC BH250. Sounded OK but died shortly after I bought it. 3. Ampeg Portaflex 350 head, again no welly at all.

    In Memoriam

This is very sad news indeed. I remember the terrible time she had with the fire and how this community stepped in with help and support. Her commitment to nursing and also her technical abilities were notable. She was the same age as me so that really hits home. May she rest in peace. 🕊️
  7. That's awful news... she was lovely. RIP Sam
  8. Aaaah, this might explain it... https://www.mimikama.org/en/fake-shops-lidl/
  9. She deserved more than this, she was a really lovely person and 63 years old is way too young. May you rest in peace Samantha.
  10. Have I missed something here? Very possible, I am not the brightest... https://www.lidlmarket.store/collections/guitar-series?fbclid=IwY2xjawJsqGVleHRuA2FlbQEwAGFkaWQBqx6bjSAEkwEe38KK5YPN9pEVXUx2yjoccmSmjTPT5JwgF3rcqOCucxwrX0x2KA9NxSxRLYE_aem_cFKaXkpZAm-BPL1a7IIfgw

A very sad loss, we exchanged a bit after the flat fire and she was a lovely and kind person. May she rest in peace.
  12. Yes it is. For more details please PM me.
  13. You couldn't be much right Chris, and he's living in Italy... Quite right again.
  14. Thank you! Again, the original listing had this as rosewood, so either their listing was wrong or they sent me a newer version. IDK 🤷‍♂️😊
  15. Bought brand new back in December 2023, features all the bells and whistles you’d expect from the GK stable - 4 band EQ, contour switch (for scooped mids) and boost switch. I’ve used it a fair bit this year, but the only issue with it is something was dropped on it at some point, denting one of the rear corners. Doesn’t affect the sound or the structure of the casing, so otherwise it is in great condition. It has recessed side handles and casters attached which are easily removed, and comes with a custom made padded cover made by HotCovers. These retail for around £1100 new (without the cover), looking to shift it pretty rapidly as I have gigs pending, so the asking price is £700. I am open to sensible offers…. Selling because it’s too big for my needs. Located on the Isle of Wight, but can meet at any of our ferry ports (Portsmouth/Southampton/Lymington/Southsea) for collection. I can also personally deliver for an additional £50 to cover my ferry fare, within a sensible distance, London or an equivalent location distance wise would probably be my limit. Thanks for looking. 😊
  16. Yep - they're the ones! I have managed to dial out a lot of the brightness without making them muddy sounding, plus I've played the newness out of them anyway. Just wondered if there were any other options to consider.....🤔
  17. Sound like this:
  18. Did it come with the nylon core, bronze coated ones like upscaled classical guitar strings? They're usually standard on that size of acoustic bass now. D'addario make a set for the Taylor Baby Bass and Ibanez use them.
