  1. Past hour
  2. Jive Talkin'! - Bee Gees
  3. Absurd, and smells not like Tesco's official let's-drive-our-customers-away policy, but more like youthful staff having a larf. Me, I'd be happy with a Barilla substitute for Garofalo, but would be willing to make lotsa noise when 3XL is changed into S. Is this system designed so you can deny taking the nonsense without making lotsa noise?
  4. Thank you @LiverpoolBassPlayer, but @chris_b has the bass seat for the evening. Appreciate the help from both of you!
  5. Absolutely beautiful mate 👍🏻👍🏻
  6. Very, very nice! I met Alan & his wife at the Bass Show and they were lovely. Tried a 32” 5er and it was superb! Enjoy!
  7. My Barefaced FR800s had feet on the bottom, but then when you stacked two it went horn>woofer>horn>woofer which I never really liked. I preferred to stack them sideways so you had a column of horns and a column of woofers next to each other, but they didn't have feet on the sides. Anyway, I bought a 4 pack of black hockey pucks for next to nothing online and they worked a treat. Tough, lights, black, rubber so a little vibration-absorbing, great.
  8. Great, I'm the first poster. Rich brought a Netgear Router off me. Neither of us were sure if it would technically work. Rich was great to work with, we both trusted each other and the sale was perfect. Zero issues, pleasure to work with and would be happy to buy or sell with him. Thanks Rich Rob
  9. Collection only. With flights and taxes it'd still end up being $5.5 - $6k... I really need to find one in the UK.
  10. Some tasty Bob Mintzer, this is the complete Lincoln Goines performance of the tune 'Meeting Of The Minds' from the 1993 Mintzer album, 'Departure'. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/meeting-of-the-minds-bob-mintzer/
  11. 😀😀Cheers mate. The olive top is indeed very nice and the SC design is very comfortable to play,
  12. So What? - Miles Davis
  13. If I had a good excuse to have a second Tri12L I would; easily one of the best cabs, period.
  14. Aah, the name is Bootsy, baby! - Bootsy's Rubber Band
  15. That's Not My Name - The Ting Tings
  16. And me next, in case the other two succomb to a small Yachting accident 😉🤣
  17. I had the 2x8" combo too - really nice sound and very cool styling, but insanely heavy for a small combo. Made by Carlsbro apparently. OP amp looks a bargain for proper quality kit
  18. 14 TX64 Pads and Mounting arms Pads work perfectly well responding to all pad trigger areas and velocity. I originally had 3 full kits at my rehearsal room but have no need for them and most of the parts/frames etc have been sold. selling as a job lot as I’d rather not split and do individual postage. Collection is good too, NE26 or NE6 or could possibly drive to meet depending on distance. Any questions please ask. Thanks David I
  19. U.K. postage for this week a coming in around £110 on Shiply.com which would make the cab, 550 delivered so I’m happy to half the expense and sell for 500 delivered.
  20. U.K. postage is around 70 on Shiply so would let this go for £400 delivered Thanks
  21. Some nice bass designs IMO - all new to me. A bit of a Thompson/Wal-alike with a good few other influences (Alembic, Status - quite a transatlantic combination). If the multicoil pickups work/sound as advertised, then a reasonably priced option (and good to see more makers getting into the multicoil space… if you’re interested in a Wal-like tone). Graphite necks (Klos) on the basses too - interesting twist - and use of machine screws is reassuring (if executed well). In all, very reasonable prices for the specs. I’d really like to try both the basses and pickups
  22. Mine arrived at 8am today. Haven't had a chance to de-tag or set up/plug in yet. Will report back later...
  23. That made me smile.
  24. I decided to put feet on my LFSYS monzas as i felt the locking corners didn’t feel stable enough when stacked. l also used a flexible adhesive and measured the screws carefully beforehand and am very happy with the results. Road testing a new cab hey?? Oooo that’s a teaser! Pray tell ….🤣x
  25. I can’t comment on the patch side of things but to get a MD sound you need to play with a pick (I use a .73 Dunlop MaxGrip after trying so many others - thick picks just do not work sound wise and with the speed he plays at) and you need to play HARD. The old adage of garbage in garbage out is perfect here. You can emulate the amps he uses (Fender Super Bassman into a 8x10) but if you provide all your gear with a lame weak signal it’s going to be fighting a losing battle. Mike is well known for have a very high action probably to avoid string buzz with how hard he plays. The precision he uses has a 59 or 62 pickup which are actually quite smooth sounding - and more similar to a Gibson G3 than you’d think. I’ve played a G3 and they sound great and probably not far off the signature P’s he has. I can get a great MD tone from my P into a GK 400rb and 2x10 with just a little compression and no other effects, but weirdly I can’t seem to make my USA MusicMan Sterling sound right at all for MD stuff. Gotta be a P!!
  26. Ooh, that's given me an idea.........
