  1. Past hour
  2. I purchased Peter's Cali76, he's boxed the pedal and ready to ship in less than an hour - exemplary seller, highly recommended!
  3. Still trying to find the right strings for a particularly fussy P bass... as as much as i prefer these to the fatter set, the bass prefers the higher tension! Barely played 5-string set with an unused B string, and cut for a 4 string P as it stands, so plenty of length on the G for either setup. Price includes UK postage.
  4. What a stunning bass. I wish I was right handed! GLWTS
  5. Maybe it’s just folklore but I’m sure I read it somewhere that the original Thumb bass was meant to be headless?
  6. I’ve just sold @dave_says my Cali76 Bass Compressor. Seamless with all details and payment sorted in under an hour, prompt and friendly communication. Pedal is boxed up and ready to post in the morning. Many thanks, Dave.
  7. Hi all I have been researching online for multi coils and alongside turners, herricks etc I came across this brand. They are based in the US. I cannot find much online about reviews and wondered if any of you have any experience with them? https://weldangpickups.com/pages/weldang-pickups I am interested in the codebreaker model for a future Wal alike build.
  8. Thanks for the tip - I really hadn't thought about the ordering of the photos like that! Shows how often I sell things >.<. If it takes a little longer maybe I should get my new phone and take some better quality pictures too.
  9. Had some great looking snakeskin print. Lost in last year's house move 😭
  10. Hmmm I'm not so sure you know. I wouldn't necessarily use the word magic but I feel there's definitely a "formula" Warwick cooked up to create that sound. Obviously I don't know for sure but I've yet to hear anything else sound close to a Thumb. Those brass bell frets may even be a contributing factor and wood and fretboard choices. I could be wrong of course.
  11. Does this have an effects loop?
  12. Nope, but it's an old trick used to counter balance headstock diving as used by Bernard Paganotti (Magma's bass player) in the 70's and other bass players too.
  13. I don't think it sounds the same, although I've only got the YouTube demos to go by. They're in the same ballpark unsurprisingly but the Fodera doesn't seem to have any of the growl or aggression of the Thumb.
  14. Hi guys, I'm sure this pedal needs no explanation. I've had this pedal since new, circa 2010 I think? It's been gigged with a fair bit but it's been in its box for the past 18 months or so. It's still in good working condition with original box and instructions. 3Leaf Proton - £200 including P&P

  15. If you ignore the title of this thread, and one of the previous posts, then yes, i guess so...
  16. Very nice, with a touch of class.
  17. Given the clear lies about having 'just bought it yesterday from a shop' and then advertising several guitars at 3 to 4 times RRP, I think we can factor that out. The below Ibanez Talman is £229 new, so him 'buying it yesterday' and saying that even at £560 it's 'loosing him money' is, to say the least, utter crªp.
  18. I have a fretted and a fretless...great basses..so, so playable...lovely necks , huge choice of sounds... I think you have this underpriced but that should make for a quick sale. GLWTS
  19. He owns a guitar so the disability is assumed!
  20. Great BB414 at ridiculous bargain price = happy me. apparently needs some electrical fettlement…but it looks balls ace.
  21. I remembered I had some cow print fabric on a shelf in the workshop so I thought I'd try and have a go at doing a fabric top on the hidden pickup bass Just gotta wait till tomorrow so the epoxy is fully cured so I can sand the top back flat.......👍🏻🤟🏻
  22. The great 'Selling Gear I Never Use to Fund A Custom ACG' Sale continues! This has been on and off my board quite a bit over the past year but I've moved to a purely clean DI now, so it's time for this to move on. Comes in great condition with velcro attached, original feet come in the box though if that's more your bag. Rather not have a trade, unless it's the Origin Effects Super Vintage probably, as I'm saving up for my dream bass. Based in Dumfries and would rather meet to sell, but posting could be an option. Give me a shout!

  23. A small 2nd hand active speaker is worth a shout! plus you get a bit more versailty! Might be a mad idea but i picked one of these up off of facebook marketplace for £30 recently: https://www.amazon.co.uk/KAM-RZ10A-Active-Speaker-Built-Black/dp/B01G7SYVNK/ref=asc_df_B01G7SYVNK?mcid=684f423ee63739b48154292e5fe4439e&th=1&tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=696385059973&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3409122903263770849&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9046913&hvtargid=pla-773084311572&gad_source=1 Cheap, small and extremely light and i suspect handles bass better than the very practice amps available. Obviously this is not aimed at bass players but honestly, if your bass sounds good already then what else do you really need from an amp. Doubles up as my practice guitar rig, and will be my music station for the garden when the weather arrives!
  24. Ooh tort… have they got an e-mail address?!
