4. That is correct. There were notifications sent out before the migration advising of this and that any important messages should be backed up prior to the switch over.

 8. Now priced at £700 So I've decided to sell my Barefaced Six10, the only reason it has to go is I need to downsize and raise money to relocate. I'm actually incredibly sad to see this go as it's been my main cab for a couple of years. You wouldnt believe how light and practical it is for a 6x10, I easily load it in and out of my saloon car and carry/ wheel it into gigs and up stairs. It crazy loud, whatever head you run through it and the tone is simply perfect! I used a HiWatt tube head with it for a couple years and recently started using a Microtubes 900 through it, the Microtubes runs at about 9 o'clock on the master volume for a practice with a 4 piece and a loud drummer. When I had the the HiWatt I used to find it funny when people decided to help me by carrying the head instead of the cab, I'd grab the cab over the head any day. It is 4 ohm and has speakon connectors on the rear, port on the bottom and wheels to help move it about. Comes with fitted Roqsoild Cover, black with white piping and Barefaced logo on the front. I'd rather not ship as it's is still quite awkward to package and protect it for the journey, I am happy to deliver within about a two hour drive, that includes meeting half way. Or of course you can come and collect it yourself. I am unsure on the price, so will consider reasonable offers.

 9. ...Just a bit of fun. Descriptions seen in ads that maybe true but are faintly ridiculous. (I'm not pleading innocence here by the way) I'll start with... 1. Plays like butter (often spelt buttah) 2. Never been gigged (never really seen the point of that one) 3. All original (so what if it's as good a bass you're telling me it is) 4. Bought it new for £1300 a week ago. (Take it back to the shop) 5.?

 10. Thanks guys. There’s still some bits to adjust but we’re getting there. The positive vibes help massively and I know I speak for @charic too, who has done all the work (all I do is boss him about) Think is time for bed now. Night all!

 11. Right, I’ll set myself a reminder to play this video through my big ole monitors tomorrow! Thank you for taking the time to do this:)

 14. Well... thanks for @only4 I received a lovely Barefaced Super Twin in the post on Friday. Just had it at practice this evening and I’m over the moon. Paired with my TH500 and my newly acquired dark glass b3k v2 (I’ve been a bit naughty, my lass doesn’t know!) it sounds bloody fantastic. Thanks all for your input. Here’s hoping my cab woes are behind me. Honestly can’t believe how good it sounds. And it’s so light!

 15. Okie-dokie. Or alternatively, we could just take more care over what we post, knowing it's there for all eternity...

 20. Just a "WTF?" for "plays like butter". I have never had the slightest clue what that means!! I imagine that Americans are to blame though

 24. You are right to identify the need for a dedicated sound person. That makes one of the advantages of going through the PA less easy to achieve. The advantages of going through the PA are simple enough. Going through the PA means someone out where the audience are can balance the sound for them meaning the whole band sound better. Secondly any sound going on behind the mic line will be picked up by the vocal mics, including your bass. This muddies up the sound going through the PA and means you can never get a clean vocal feed. Then there is the issue of the sound level on stage. High levels damage your hearing long term and make it difficult for us to really hear each other well. Singers are often forced to belt out their vocals straining their voices and making it far harder to sing with any inflection or subtlety just to be heard over the racket. Without any help from the PA you have no choice about volume, it has to be loud enough for the audience. The only advantage of not going through the PA is simplicity. No mics or Di's means less to go wrong and setting up is simple enough for all to understand. Turn up until you are loud enough to match the drums and no-one is louder than each other and then just play. The balance will be the same for every song and whist it might not be perfect it shouldn't be too far out if every band member is sensible. This only works though in small venues if one of the instruments won't reach the back of a big venue you've pretty much got to accept low sound values or all go through the PA.

 31.
Playing along to tracks is completely different than playing live with other musicians. Blue
Quite right, usually because all those bits you worked so hard at to get perfect go out the window as soon as you realise none of the others in the band really know how to play it😂

 32.
I'm still holding on to see whether they'll do a 20/20 reissue.
You're probably going to have to wait a good two more years for that... ;-)

 35. Who told you that you have to play what the original player did ? Roll your own , mate. It's the best way to improve and develop a style and if anyone tells you you're doing it wrong you just send them to have a chat with me. Having said that - you have touched on an important tip for improving players of all abilities. Don't practise what you can play , practise what you can't.

 37. Whilst experimenting with a stack-knob set-up a few years ago I successfully manage to dismantle and rebuild several stacked CTS pot with different resistive tracks. It would therefore be possible to make a 10K/100K version. I still have all the bits of the stacked pots in a box somewhere. I'd happily do this. All I would need are the right size CTS pots. Are the tracks linear or log?

 38. I've tried the original Fishman and Full Circle and much prefer the Full Circle. I would love to be able to use a mic with my amp, but I find it too much hassle so go with the Full circle and am pretty happy with the results. I do always use a mic to the front of house whenever possible though. I've not noticed any problems with finger noise from the Full Circle.

 39. Thomann are going to be the ruin of me if they're going to keep offering brand new Gibson basses for sale at second hand prices. I pounced on a Midtown Standard. And to press the point home that I might have a problem - here's the black headstock club:
