One last Reduction to £850 last call now £800 I have tried to get the right year for this bass, serial N093419 and it comes up as a 1993-1994, correct me if this is wrong Comes with Fender moulded case Bass is all original, the original owner just changed out the strap buttons for strap locks There is a full metal plate under the scratchplate which I have never come across before Weight is a healthy 4.05 Kg's Nut width is 41mm, nice comfortable neck and not chunky Some fret wear on the money end One ding to the bottom but in overall great condition Nice low action Everything works as it should Price is firm and not looking for trades at the moment, Postage is included for UK addresses

Selling my 5 month old Spector Pulse II 5 in Ultra Violet. The only reason for selling is that in real terms, I require a 6 string bass, so something has to go to fund that purchase. This bass is in immaculate condition. There are no dinks, dents or scratches. Never gigged, rehearsed twice, played in my studio, and kept in a smoke free house in a flight case (case not included in sale). The neck is straight, action low, and the roasted maple neck is a dream to play, plus super stable. It has been upgraded from the Tone Pump Jnr to an Aguilar OBP-2 pre-amp which was professionally fitted. This has transformed the versatility of this bass. A necessary upgrade IMHO. I’ve also put on Dunlop strap locks. This bass, and this range, punches well above its weight. Stunningly constructed, plays incredibly well, and looks amazing. It comes with the original box and tools/lead. Pick up preferred, but will meet within 50 miles of Cardiff. No trades unless you have the right 6 string bass in the same condition. A superb Mutron III clone, mint with box and manual. I really really like this pedal, but I'm not using it as much as my Mutrons. It makes much more sense for taking out of the house because of it's small footprint, flawless bypass etc, but I rarely need to take it anywhere and it doesn't get chosen at home as often. They're really hard to find for some reason (I don't think it was a limited release?) but I had to import this one from Spain. This model is the latest version with knobs and nice little switches as opposed to the previous version with sliders; apparently they could no longer get hold of the fader pots for them. I think this version is more controllable and looks better. Info below from the distributor website Any questions let me know Cheers ped The AF-9 is Maxon’s version of the venerable Mu-Tron III envelope filter circuit (original version, not HAZ reissue). The biggest difference between the two circuits is that the AF-9 runs on a single 9V supply while the Mu-Tron ran at 18V. In addition, the III had a Gain pot which controlled the output level of the pedal as well as the Threshold of the Filter – this was an awkward design, as it prevented increasing the filter sensitivity without raising the output volume of the pedal. These items aside, the basic structures of the two circuits are very similar. The AF9 starts with a unity gain buffer Op Amp and then splits the signal into control and effected circuits. The control circuit is shaped by the Sensitivity pot and amplified by an Op Amp. This control signal then travels to a series of two photocouplers. The effected portion of the circuit split goes into a three Op Amp filter network that is almost identical to the Mu-Tron’s, right down to the Low Pass, Band Pass, and High Pass switch that selects which portion of the filter network is used. These filters are triggered by the CdS cell side of the previously mentioned photocouplers. The AF-9’s Range is selected by changing the gain structure of the filters. After the filter network the signal is run through a unity gain buffer to provide a low impedance output. The AF-9 features Mechanical True Bypass switching via a Fujisoku 4PDT switch. Plays like a dream, sounds like a Jazz. Very nice modern C neck, no fret wear, very clean overall (hardly played) but has one small dink in the top edge (see pics). Weighs in at a very comfortable 3.75 Kg *Edit* (weighed it on a more accurate set of scales and it’s actually 4.2kg.*)on the bathroom scales. Price includes the case, which includes the case candy - Truss rod tool, 2 hex keys, case key, manual, hang tag and Fender strap with strap locks. Collection only from North London N21 with this one please, but I can offer tea, biscuits and bass related conversation whilst you demo it!

Withdrawn - decided to keep it. This is a custom one off build by Chris May for an up and coming bass player who sadly passed before his time. This is a tough sell for me as the feel and tone are amazing, but at around 4.8kg, sadly a bit too heavy for me and it needs to be played. It was made late 80s / early 90s and Chris has confirmed that apart from the preamp which was upgraded to a John East pre (therefore only the jack is connected, XLR is fitted but not connected), this appears to be original. It has sadly had a tough life, and I have tried showing the cosmetic issues in the photos. Given the wear, and that it is a Chris May one off custom, I have taken a guess at its value; feel free to correct me. Beautiful, I would love to buy that and stick a Warmoth ebony unlined maple Precision neck on there There's someting quite Roscoe Beck about it, another example of Fender doing something a little different and doing it very well indeed (if only they'd do it more often). That's a great price given current USA Fender prices also 👍

Been on hold for a while as I noticed a bit of an odd crackle (not much but annoying). All sorted now though. Turns out there was nothing wrong with it 😂 After reorganising my home studio equipment, the noise has gone. It never happened at rehearsals either, only in my home studio. Fabulous and famous Trace Elliot bone crushing silly loud 280w head. Hybrid valve - solid state. All in great shape in a carpeted sleeve. This can be removed and the amp can be racked (you'd need the rack ears though. I had it racked using a rack shelf) All works as it should. Only up for sale as I need a lightweight spare. This is far too good to be kept as a spare too. Px or trade for a light weight bass head. MB, Elf, Gnome etc. Try me with anything music related. You never know. Collection much preferred from BB22SH or a courier can be arranged by the buyer at their own cost and risk. It will be well packaged though.

Great basses, extremely capable but overlooked by most. I really dug the in between positions on the selector switch. And this finish is possibly even better than the metallic rootbeer they did. GLWTS!

I bought this K&M Guardian 5 guitar stand during lockdown, but despite my best efforts I’ve still not got five basses to put in it. It’s a lovely bit of kit - sturdy, well made and quite light too. It’s never left my music room so it’s in really good condition. It holds instruments in quite an upright position too which is handy for basses as it can go quite close to the wall without the headstock touching (tried to show this in pic below). K&M say the material they use is safe for nitro finishes too - I’ve stored my vintage P bass in with no problems. They do a range of these stands - this one is model number 17525 (Guardian 5). Blurb here from the K&M site: https://bit.ly/3nMhAvQ NB it is not suitable for acoustic guitars (as I found out…) - the spacing between sections is not wide enough to take them. Solid bodies and semi acoustics would fit fine tho. Cheapest I can find new online in around £115-£120 including postage (Bax Shop, Thomann et al). I’m after £65 plus postage within the UK, or you’re more than welcome to collect from south Leicestershire. It folds flat so easy to transport / post etc.
