Took a little trip to the seaside this weekend, down to Dorset. I was walking along the beach when I saw a bloke and a woman shouting, and then they started fighting. It got so bad that the police turned up, but instead of calming things down the copper started hitting the guy with his baton. Then the bloke got hold of the baton and started hitting his wife AND the copper. Then just when I couldn’t imagine things getting any worse, a crocodile turned up and stole all the sausages.

My dad just called to ask what gauge strings I put on his EB3 last time I restrung it. Apparently they're starting to sound a bit dead, which is hardly surprising given that I last played that bass in 2003.

Popped over to Cumbernauld Thursday night to catch @JohnFitzgerald play with Cateran and hear the debut of his Wal-esque build from last year. Top notch band, brilliant venue and his bass sounded amazing. Was also impressed by his Fame Baphomet, surprised we don't hear more about those.

A really good sound going on there. Really good sound. I listened all the way through and enjoyed it. I had it full volume and it was not rough on the ears at all, and sounds huge. Great stuff. Bass guitar worth noting on here too. Solid sound, and unique. Angry, but clear and thumpy. I like it.

Watching a guitar on Ebay recently, I received an offer from the seller of £100 off. Pretty good, I thought, and I'd have bought it straight away except for the fact that a quick check of the listing showed that the seller cheekily put the price up by £200 just before making the offer.
