  1. You kinda have to leave common sense at the door when it comes to IP law a lot of the time, as far as I can tell.
  2. Yeah seems like people want the reissue versions to be "period correct" even when that means being objectively worse.
  3. The modern 24s look great but the 1000+ euro price tag suggests I might have to wait for used ones to start popping up
  4. That's a bummer, hope someone's able to make use of it! I'd love to but the logistics are impossible for me.
  5. [repeating to myself] "I do not need a fretted to match my fretless, I do not need a fretted to match my fretless..."
  6. Alas, it's working fine for me across FF Windows and Android with tracking protection on (once I figured out how to add the 2fa to 1password)
  7. What are the scale lengths on this? 35-33"?
  8. Yes still available if you can collect. PM me.
  9. Isn't poor old Leo spinning fast enough in his grave already
  10. I find it's especially interesting as there aren't many jazz 6es around until you get in to pretty boutique territory, so there's really not much that's directly comparable to this. I probably still won't buy one but I do wonder if Harley Benton/Sire etc will come out with something similar.
  11. Looks great, and that's a good price too. I do like a modern jazz more than the vintage looking ones.
  12. That would be my (entirely uninformed) guess. There are plenty of cheap 6 strings, but not traditionally styled ones, and not ones that are Fender-adjacent which still counts for a lot of people.
  13. The golden age of graphic design
  14. Squier are releasing a full scale Jazz 6 string https://www.fender.com/en-GB/squier-electric-basses/jazz-bass/affinity-series-jazz-bass-vi/0378671565.html At least it makes use of all that headstock real estate?
  15. Wow, a lot to keep you going there. If you're ok with reading but want something a little simpler there are some nice tunes in here: https://shop.abrsm.org/shop/prod/Hartley-Keith-Double-Bass-Solo-Book-1-2019-edition/644853
  16. Electronic drumkit, was given to us to see if my son would be at all interested. He absolutely is not and I would like the space back. Fully working, can plug in headphones or we've tried it piped into the aux input of a guitar combo. I believe you can get MIDI out too but I've not tried. No throne or stool but will include a set of sticks. Happy to take more/better photos if there's any interest. Free to anyone who can collect from Glasgow G51. No postage on this, sorry.
  17. If they did that it would mean additional work/waste at the factory filtering out parts that would make it too heavy. This way they're not committing to anything.
  18. Mine is "if you're looking at this you know what it is".
  19. I tend not to haggle as a buyer but I'm happy to take offers. I don't sell high value items much but on BC I usually just list at the price I want; if I post the same thing on Gumtree I tend to bump the asking price to account for hagglers. The "what's your best price?" question is annoying but I try and have an idea of what I want and just stick to that.
  20. If anyone needs any rock/metal stuff, Ugritone are having a closing down sale and doing their whole collection for $99 https://ugritone.com/collections/farewell-tour I have a few of their MIDI packs which are good, and down to $2 a pop if you don't need 15 different drum VSTs...
  21. I need another 6 string like I need a hole in the head but that's cool AF. Anything you're looking for in trade?
  22. That is very nice indeed, congratulations! Not always a fan of offset body styles but that looks great.
