For info: here's the amp's old webpage from the BK Electronics site, courtesy of the Internet Archive Wayback Machine: http://web.archive.o...assD/ClassD.htm I always thought these modules looked great! Not 100% sure if I want to do this or not, but I'm considering Letting go of my double bass as it's simply not getting played enough, and my lifestyle isn't showing any signs of having more time to devote to it. This is a fully carved 4/4 5 string made by Kremona in Bulgaria for Bob Gollihur (pleasingly, that page has hardly changed in 10+ years). If I recall correctly, I ordered it in 2005 and received it in 2006. The finish is dark gloss. It's big -- scale length is around 42", and the low B is thunderous. Some small scratches but no physical issues. Strings are stock, which I believe are Helicore Orchestrals. It was set up by the Violin Shop in Glasgow when I received it, and they fitted a new bridge with adjusters about five years ago. Comes with a good quality case and stand, and I have a French bow and a Revolution Solo (2?) pickup that I will include. Gollihur no longer sell this model, but when I last looked the list price for this bass was $3700 + shipping . Given the additional work and accessories, I think a price around £2500 £2000 seems reasonable. I'd also consider PXes for EUBs, 5+ string bass guitars, maybe 7+ string guitars. Based in Glasgow near the south end of the Clyde Tunnel -- you're welcome to come have a try. I make a pretty good cup of coffee.

Compact class D power mono power amp from UK company BK Electronics . Unfortunately the specs aren't online any more, but I emailed the company who replied:
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you I have been trying to find the old webpage with the details. Unfortunately, I cannot find it but I do know the power ratings. The amplifier was rated at 600W RMS into 4 ohms and 300W into 8 Ohms
[s]I've emailed them back to see if it's safe to run into 2 ohms. [/s] Update: it's not! The body is 110mm wide x 100mm high x 220mm deep. I bought this from Dood of this parish about 8 years ago, on a previous incarnation of the forum. It's mostly been used at home at practice volumes, gigged a couple of times (with my VF-1 as a preamp ) The output cable is hard-wired but has a terminal block attached to make it easy to swap the jack for a speakon or similar if you prefer. Kinda hard to price this as I don't think I've seen another in the wild; let's start at £180 and you lot let me know if I'm out of line? Based in Glasgow, collection is fine or UK postage should be ~£10. Prefer to sell but will consider PX for guitars with 7+ strings or basses with 5+ strings, studio monitors, other stuff maybe too. Try me

Half-rack multi-effects/preamp/amp-sim. Fully functional, minor scratches on the casing. This was my main front-end for guitar, bass and double bass for a number of years, and it can do just about anything. Only moving on due to upgrading to a Pod Live, was going to keep this and put in the FX loop but I guess there is such a thing as overkill after all, maybe? I believe this was Michael Manring's effects unit of choice at one point (might still be, I haven't checked). Sound on Sound thought it was good value at £399. Yours for [s]£125[/s] [s]£110[/s] £100!. Comes with original manual and power supply, I doubt I have the box any more. Based in Glasgow, collection is fine or UK postage should be ~£10. Prefer to sell but will consider PX for guitars with 7+ strings, basses with 5+ strings, studio monitors, 7 string HH pickups, 6 string HSS pickups, other stuff maybe?

Anyone tried these Red5s? I have a pair of their headphones which seem excellent for the price, been sorely tempted to take a punt on a pair of the monitors too.

Got a bunch of miscellaneous cabling to go. Not even sure where some of these came from to be honest, but it seems like a waste to bin them. Free to a good home. Collect from Glasgow G51 or I can post at cost. All lengths are approximate. Cables are untested. m/f denotes male/female endings. Some I'm not really sure what they're for, but I can take a closer look if there's something you think might be useful.

2x Phone extension cable, 15m each (both m => f)
Co-ax TV aerial extensions: 6.5m m/m, 2x 3.5m m/m, 2x 1m m/f. Also an f/f adapter plug.
2x 1.5m European (2-prong) kettle plug
7x ADSL filters, various configurations
3x 1m modem cables (small square plugs on both ends)
1m modem cable (full size phone plug => small square plug)
Scart => component (RCA audio + RCA video + S-Video) adapter
2x short MIDI (f) to 5 pin DIN (m)
5m 4 pin DIN (m) on both ends
2m video component (yellow RCA) m/m
2m video component (yellow RCA) m => 4 pin DIN m
Charger and data cable for old Sony-Ericsson phone (pre-micro USB)

Scott Sound Systems 1x15 Cab: 8 ohm, 400w

Looking to get rid of my 1x15" cab. Labelled Scott Sound Systems, this is pretty compact (50cm wide x 35cm deep x 56cm high) but not light. Shell is 1" thick, looks like plywood. Speaker grill is solid metal, plastic handles and corners. Based on the markings on the speaker it probably dates from the early 90s. Black painted finish. The speaker inside is marked as a Fane Studio Colossus 15 Bass, 8 ohm, 400 watts. Twin jack sockets for daisy-chaining. I've had it for about 8 years, in which time it's barely been used. I've just fired it up though and it works fine. I've gigged with it a couple of times in metal bands, and it's stood up fine, although it's probably not loud enough to stand alone without PA support. Collection only from Glasgow G51. You're welcome to come round and inspect/try with your amp/have a cuppa. You can check out my previous BC feedback here. Open to trades/part exchange for basses with 5+ strings or shreddy guitars (especially ones with 7+ strings), active studio monitors, pedal bikes or WHY. Any questions, just give me a shout.

Opinion's on Elixirs Nanoweb

My string of choice for all my basses ( I even manage to coerce an .022 wound guitar string up to high E for my 7 string). I like the consistency, and they're bright but not too bright. -

Bump for any more thoughts -
Just did a deal with Jas — super easy, despite this week's rotten weather. The Pod was really well packaged. Marvellous!

Great stuff dad3353 (if that is your real name ). Lots of stuff to think about there. Thanks! -
Very interesting! Kind of reassuring to know there's no magic to it. You're right though lurksalot, he does seem quite unenthusiastic about it towards the end...

Update: found myself humming the chorus while making lunch, so you've obviously done something right

Nice. Really like the matching cuts between the studio and outdoor scenes. Would maybe suggest taking it easy with the different filters next time. Recognised a few landmarks though
