If you are using a velcro board, get a thin strip of velcro and loop over the knobs oneach pedal. Easy to change settings if you want.

Rip. Such a friendly and intelligent individual. He will be missed.

FYI - the Diago website says "Sorry, this website is now closed"

Has anyone had a new unit sent to them yet? I did the online form etc and have heard nothing back at all. The landline number on their website is disconnected and the mobile number goes straight to answer phone. I'm gigging in Poole soon so I might pop by and see if the business is actually still open.

Sorry everyone, when I first posted I had some time to arrange. I'm just too busy playing and teaching to arrange this.

Great show on Saturday, but can't go today because of an afternoon jazz gig. Good points... Room dividers really helped with the sound. I actually spoke to suppliers without using quasi sign language / pointing. Some fab exhibitors, many of which had really enthusiastic staff. Great master classes and talks. Gary Willis was on form, and the highlight of the day for me. Bad points... Overpriced crap coffee. Lack of exhibitors again. Eg. Status, Overwater etc etc. You know, some British exhibitors at what is a British show! The many people who took the opportunity to play a slap chop they'd been learning all year just for this moment. Gee wiz, each to their own but you don't have to crank up every single amp up to the max as you go round the exhibition. Some people wanted the show to be named after them!! All in all though , another good show. If I am free next year I'll be back. Maybe we can have a BEST OF BRITAIN room? Greg

Hi, My spare / small gig amp is an EA doubler. Over the past few gigs I've noticed that it is taking longer to power-up. It used to power-up (lights and fully functioning) within 1 sec or so, last few gigs have taken 5 to 10 secs, and now I am just packing for a gig later and it took 30 secs to power up! Its only my back-up amp tonight, but is there an 'easy' fix? If not it'll be off to my usual repairer. P.s. Once its on it works 100% fine - so its more annoying than anything and I don't want to make matters worse (i.e. total failure). Thanks Greg
Here you go, Greg. It's in Bb and the transposed Alto part is in 'G'. (both parts below). When downloading, if you can't open the PDF, change the file name (last three letters) to pdf, then all should be fine. Just to add, the solo was played by the marvelous Gary Barnacle.
Wonderful, thank you very much - that has saved me some time transcribing!
There's about four notes in it. You don't have time?
Only a few more .. and unfortunately a busy time of the year + 20 month daughter = ZERO time :-)
Just hope your singer doesn't sing as flat as the original....................
Thankfully it is for an instrumental version!

For my headless Sei, I can fit it in a 'regular' 6-string electric guitar case - Although I own an S2, it is headed so I can't say for certain for your headless Status, however if I were you I'd look at the Mono cases and check if yours will fit into a regular electric guitar case. A bonus of this is it's much easier to fly with as overhead lockers on planes are sometimes a little tight with a standard bass guitar case.
-
Only 2 small 'tilt' ones on the back edge (easy to remove to fit into more permanent base of case) - the case option potentially solves the suggested issues (height of cab and accessibility of handles).
-
Another option would be to house the cab in a lightweight flight case - something like this http://www.bcsmanufacturing.co.uk/backline01.html That way the cab can stand on the wheel base and the top cover can have whichever handles you need and wherever you need them. Of course, you'll add a little weight, but the portability and height will both increase. Greg

Hi from across the pond!

That's great - hope you enjoy it! After a few gigs with mine now, the leather is becoming nice and supple. Toni at the factory mentioned that once you've settled on a comfortable length it may be sensible to cut off some of the internal 'waste' of the slim adjusting leather.
-
Hi - it depends how low you play the bass. If you need over a meter between the back of your shoulder and the horn of the bass, then it seems (to me) like you have your bass quite low? A picture of you playing may determine this.
-
See my post about Righton straps, they can even make a custom strap for you.
-
After exchanging a few emails with Toni the manager, I have just visited the Righton strap factory in Spain. Although not a retail premises, there are lots of straps to see in the factory and I got to see the production line too. I left with a well padded 'Flakey' bass strap. It is very well made, comes complete with an ingenious adjustment clamp and several pick holders. Happy to recommend.
