1. The B is what i would describe honestly as 'fairly' tight, with plenty of bite & grip when used in Active mode. Passive mode not quite as nice. For the value of the bass its good
2. Currently on hold for Bassbluestew
3. If you do walk, the whole way, I'd give you a medal..... And I'd donate 25% of the sale to charity!!!! I've never liked posting basses, let alone acoustic basses - they are just to fragile. I'll PM you with one other option Greg
4. Bump
5. Thanks for all your advice chaps. I've managed to get a suitable battery from these guys http://www.barden-uk.com/ for less than £15 which is good (I think?) and they were just up the road from me too!! Think they do mail order if anyone else is interested. The battery fitted well - nice and snug so won't rattle about and works just fine. It does charge up when the amp is plugged in, even if the power switch on the front is swithed off. I can also see this amp serving me well for jam nights too - no need to fight over one or two plug sockets on stage!!! ONE LAST QUESTION FOR ANY ELECTRICIANS: With the battery connected internally, if this runs flat, can I connect an external battery to the exterior metal contacts on the back of the amp, or will this connecting of two batteries be; bad news / blow up / damage the amp / damage the batterys? Greg
6. This was one of my old basses sold in 2005 to a chap who owned a medal/engraving shop if i remember correctly Nice bass
7. Howdy all, I'm probably going to do some fun busking in the summer months with some friends - and I plan on using my PJB amp taking use of the battery facility. What i'd like to know is where you get these batteries from and what types/makes you can use (all the links on the web are for American sites). Also, how long should each charge last for with a medium to high volume use. Also, how do you charge the battery and could you connect up a spare external battery without disconnecting the internal battery ??? Thank Q And Happy Easter all Greg
8. Nearly one day left bump!

13. In recent months I've been 'experimenting' with plectrum use. With lots of trial and error, DON'T just go for a heavy plectrum, as previously mentioned. Also, personally I've found a traditional shaped plectrum easier to use. I've settled on: (White) Dunlop .88mm Tortex "The Wedge". Nice texture and sound. Good Luck Greg Link for ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/24-x-dunlop-wedge-gu...tem220208278982
14. I use Genz Benz Neox cabinet in the 2 X 12" form. Great cab, light and portable. Love the sound too, projects really well. Owned for two years now, and has stood up to gigging very well. The twin handles on the top corner make for lifting in and out of vans/cars very easy. 17. My status S2 Classic thru neck. Mint since I brought it new in 2004. Then, in last two weeks, for one ducking reason or another (don't want to talk about it ) - SIX, yes SIX laquer dings on edge, side, bottom - AND I was being so so careful (like usual), but as its my working bass, it was aways bound to happen. You wait four years for a bus to come along then six come at once. Gutted, but now she is earning her name of 'classic' I guess. Greg

25.
If you know anyone good at reading I've been told that a good way to get started with it is to transcribe bass lines you already know. That will teach you a whole lot about what note goes where and if you can find someone to play it back to you (or chuck it on your computer and let that sort it out) you'll get a good idea of how accurate you are with it.
Hi, Is there a free or much cheaper version of Sibelius available to download to be able to do this on - and play back / print off the transcription? Thanks
