SOLD DRW JD-01 Compressor (Operational Transconductance)

Hi Alexa3020 - here is a fab resource for you to have a read/wade through : http://www.ovnilab.com/faq.shtml There is a very useful section on placement. For me, it goes first in the effects chain, and sometimes it is the only pedal I use! A dedicated pedal is probably your next step - if you are on limited budget, have a look at the TC Hypergravity. I am sure others will suggest many others! I use an Empress Bass compressor, but it is nearly £300. Enjoy experimenting, and remember that you will probably only appreciate the full affect when you are using live with a band etc.

SOLD DRW JD-01 Compressor (Operational Transconductance)
MuddBass posted a topic in Effects For Sale
Used but fully working DRW JD-01 Compressor. Spec as per the DRW Website: Note, 3M Dual Lock (like Velcro) fitted to bottom. Also please note that I noticed from new that this likes a clean & isolated power supply, or there is an audible click when switching on and off. I always left it on so this did not matter to me. £85 posted (UK only) New Price £159.00 http://designretroworks.co.uk/Jerry Donahue Compressor.htm -
Ultimate in Double Bass pickups for feedback?
MuddBass replied to TheG's topic in EUB and Double Bass
+1 for HPF, but also use a 180/phase switch. Such can be found on preamps such as Fishman Pro Bass, EBS Stanley Clarke etc. -
Lovely easy transaction when selling some flat wound DR's - top gent - Thanks!

Used but working Aguilar OBP-3. Currently wired with 3 band EQ pots, + front/back pickup + volume. Jack socket/battery socket not included - wires all present. Wiring options here: https://www.aguilaramp.com/wp-content/uploads/wiring-diagram-obp-3-v2.pdf Note ref pots: I cannot currently find all the retaining nuts and washers. Pots will need a little cleaning (switch cleaner etc) as this has been in a drawer for a few years. Price includes UK 1st class postage (or plus £3.70 if tracking required) or pickup from SO53 (Between Winchester and Southampton) Spec as per Aguilar website: OBP-3 3 BAND, BOOST/CUT 9 OR 18 VOLT ON BOARD PREAMP The OBP-3 is Aguilar’s most flexible onboard preamp design, providing +/-18dB of cut and boost at 40Hz, +/- 16dB of cut and boost at either 400Hz or 800Hz and +/- 16dB of treble cut and boost at 6.5 kHz. The OBP-3 has multiple wiring options, and can be wired with either a push/pull pot OR mini-toggle for midrange frequency selection.

REDUCED £80 to Clear Essentially this is a unused Harley Benton TE-40 TBK Deluxe Series; It's been played a few times by a youngster who never really engaged with a practice regime. Nevertheless, I am sure that some fresh string wouldn't go amiss. Spec can be found below, although please note this about 5 years only and thus has the original Wilkinson Pickups. https://harleybenton.com/product/te-40-tbk/ Currently available via Thomann for £115 + Vat + UPS Fees (I make that £145 ish?) £100 OVNO. Collection from SO53 Winchester / Southampton (trial through a PA system is possible, or you can bring a guitar amp along). Pictures will follow later today.

REDUCED: £150 1960s/70s CLARINET for sale Please excuse my ignorance here. I have inherited a Clarinet, and don't really like selling via Ebay etc, so I hope a listing here might lead to a sale to someone who will make use of this lovely instrument. I have inherited this, and as a bassist, I know very little about it. Any wider info would be appreciated. I am not even sure of its value; I have found a wide range of similar instruments from £250 to £500 online. I am happy to sell at £180, if it is going to be put to good use by a member of the BassChat family. If not, I will wait until an upcoming specific musical instrument auction in the summer. I have popped the instrument together. The connecting cork is a little tight, so probably needs re-hydrating/lubricating. No evidence of other damage that I can see. I am based in SO53 / Winchester / Southampton

It may sound somewhat harsh, but I rarely re-hire musicians (permanent or dep) who don't turn up suitably prepared. When I 'hire' professional musicians, I expect a professional approach; excellent musicality, good personal hygiene and suitable appearance, spare equipment, good time keeping, clear communication skills etc. For me, professional musicians should have the 'tools and a spare' to cover for most reasonable eventualities.

Purchased some lovely CD's from Mike, who was a pleasure to deal with. Package arrived swiftly and well-wrapped indeed! Cheers!

Having a bit of a clear out. I have a single Thomastik Single Flat Wound String B .136 round steel core, nickel long scale 34" JF34136. Packaging with some slight creases, but unopened. I tune my fretless bass E to C, and have to buy a 6 string set for this, so the B string is not needed. £20, posted 1st class [please add £3 for signed for delivery if required].
