    Welcome back, O refreshed one!
  2. That's really nice! But how is it less muddy than a Telcaster MKii? I suppose the active can tame it a bit...
  3. Only 10lbs? Lightweight for a 70s. Although my 75 was lighter than 10, so who knows? Sub 9lb Precisions aren't that common even now!
  4. It's a Precision. It doesn't need anyone's pre-amp. John's a nice, helpful guy who does great electronics though, no doubt about it.
  5. Howdy! From waaaaaay south of the border...
  6. Except that no 51 was ever sunburst...have a bumpety.
  7. I know, I know...But there's no other way to achieve this at the moment. Lottery tickets will be bought this week also!
  8. It's no good - I can't live without it. Therefore if I can't gig it, it goes on the wall...] Cheers, Den
  9. Have an album of his somewhere - quite liked it! But then Bill never looked terribly into it, did he?
  10. Howdy! Somewhere in Canada, I have a cousin Susan...
  11. It would seem to be a simple ploy to equalise the break angles, rather than fix any inherent problem with said break angle...
  12. I'd love to try one. The switch appeals far more than a D-tuner...
  13. Covers, yes, always a knotty problem... I have my standard P drilled for them, but rarely put them on. The pickup cover is very wide, and doesn't make a good thumbrest. Otherwise, they are OK. On the 51RI, they stay on permanently. The pickup cover is much narrower, and is where a thumbrest might be, level-wise. Also, the slabs look bad without them, IMHO. Splits look good either way... And the drilling? Yup, scary. But what the hell.
  14. Howdy! Must get an URB someday...
  15. Howdy! Seriously cool bass!
