Hi

Howdy! Wot's Cubase?
2.
I just feel lucky to be able to play good music to people that appreciate it.
+1 Can't say fairer than that.
3. Howdy! My break was a mere 17 years! Nice Jazz!
4. Welcome! English just fine! As you see, I'm a bit of a Fenderman too!
5. All of it - wade in! Watch your wallet in the For Sale bits, though...
6. Howdy! UK luthier? Try John Shuker. There are many people on this forum who play his basses.

Hey

Mucho welcomeness! Everything you need to know, it's here. Somewhere.
8.
Basically a +1 there. The problem is with moving on from a Fender, is that nothing looks quite as cool, and thats it.
Exactly. Nail on head. I used RS66s for decades, then lately Rotobass nickel-plated, a bit warmer. Don't like EBs or GHS Boomers, oe Elites. Not tried DR yet. Currently have TI Jazz flats on the split-coil. Wondrous! A p-bass just looks like a Strat? A bit reversed there, that is...
9. I just got hold of "Standing In The Shadows of Motown", the book/CDs. Phew. Scary. Guy was the bassman, man...
10. Howdy, from someone not too far away - when you're in Plymouth, that is! We'll soon have you weaned of your g***ar!

Hi Guys

Howdy! I'd say the Squiers, but then I'm a biased old traditionalist...
12. Just about anywhere! Start on General Bass Discussion, maybe, to get the feel of the place. And welcome!
13. Howdy! Reckon you might have good luck shifting the Trace here!
14. I'd stick my hand up again, Stevie, but Derriford have dismantled my spine...
15. This Eastwood is the only one I'd play! Utterly Coolio, man.
16. As the owner of a MIM, a MIJ, and a Squier, I'd hate to see the MIMs go, or be lessened in any way. I still rate them as some of the best Fenders, period. And I'm afraid that I am one of those sad old buggers that has to have 'Fender'on the headstock, so my Squier doesn't see much gig time...
17. Ah! Erm...yes...can't remember...took so long to use it all on my luxurious barnet...
18.
I bought it & this was my thread I started. Flippant comments aside, lots of nice pics & some good info. The Fender bass isn't rocket science but such publications ae for suckers like me & I'll always snap them up.
Yup, me too! I have loads of stuff on Fenders generally and basses in particular. Will be getting this ASAP. I have had a flip through it, and I'm stupidly pleased that he personally has, almost literally, my bass. A 1996 51RI, with covers and raw maple tugbar!
19. Howdy! The KA will very likely do a great job!
