1. Howdy! Reckon you might have good luck shifting the Trace here!
2. I'd stick my hand up again, Stevie, but Derriford have dismantled my spine...
3. This Eastwood is the only one I'd play! Utterly Coolio, man.
4. As the owner of a MIM, a MIJ, and a Squier, I'd hate to see the MIMs go, or be lessened in any way. I still rate them as some of the best Fenders, period. And I'm afraid that I am one of those sad old buggers that has to have 'Fender'on the headstock, so my Squier doesn't see much gig time...
5. Ah! Erm...yes...can't remember...took so long to use it all on my luxurious barnet...
6.
I bought it & this was my thread I started. Flippant comments aside, lots of nice pics & some good info. The Fender bass isn't rocket science but such publications ae for suckers like me & I'll always snap them up.
Yup, me too! I have loads of stuff on Fenders generally and basses in particular. Will be getting this ASAP. I have had a flip through it, and I'm stupidly pleased that he personally has, almost literally, my bass. A 1996 51RI, with covers and raw maple tugbar!
7. Howdy! The KA will very likely do a great job!
8. Welome! Indeed, bad for your wallet, this place...

10.
...when I've just finished playing for 2 hours I just feel the need to go home for a cup of tea...

WAHEY! ROCK'n'ROLL!! Actually yeah, I know exactly what you mean
Ain't it the truth!
11.
Flats and ashtrays came back, didn't they?

Ah so true!
Ah so true +2! Hope it all goes well!
12. Howdy! Yes it is!

15. Howdy! The Quake is a P-bass - always a good place to be, bass-wise! (You'll notice I'm a tad biased in this respect!)
16. Glad all is well, Dave! A year out, blimey...I'm worried about possibly 6 weeks...
17. I don't know where BeLow works, but meeting two Basschatters in 10 minutes at a private gig was slightly surreal!
18. In order to fit vintage bushings to current Fenders and Squiers, I cut up a plastic shampoo bottle into strips, wound the strips around the bush, then pushed that all in. Worked a treat. However, that's a bigger difference than you are having to overcome. Otherwise, plumber's tape.
19. Hello? Oh, I see... Or a Wilkinson swivelling one, possibly from JHS or direct from the man himself at Fret-King?
20. Howdy!

Hola

Hi from another oldie (57)! You'll love that Jazz!
24.
Den Glad you got it sorted - and hope you get better soon. Having seen you play a couple of times (including the same do as Dave mentioned) I would have loved to have done it but hampered by my lack of talent I doubt I could have pulled it off without quite a few rehearsals.
I'm sure you're being waaay too modest, really. Back (!) to see consultant Tuesday - best he comes up with some good ideas...
25. Presumably...I'd do their proof-reading for free, if it would help...
