1. 20. Only one of which came from here (Mickeyboro), and which is still my main bass! <<<<This one, in fact.
2. Wish they wouldn't describe them as having Travis Bean necks - they are totally different. Gary Kramer designed his own entirely different ally necks, a T-bar shape with wood inserts. </pedant>

Hello

Welcome! Also knocking on a bit - have gone down the lightweight route - have not regretted it for a minute! Although I have a serious hankering for some 15" action...
4. Hi Bruce, dive right on in!
5. Occasionaly use mine as Leo envisioned, but not often. It has once or twice enlightened folk as to why it's there!
6. Oh yes...even though I'm curently in a band, I want MORE....more, I tell you! Anything, don't mind.
7. Welcome! Great basses! No comments from me on banjos...
8. I have the earlier (Fuji Gen Gakki/Ibanez) 51, and by comparison to the Sting I once had (which was for sale in Project Music, Exeter a little while back), mine has a much slimmer front-to-back neck profile. The Sting was a good bass but the neck was rather clubby. My 51 is my main bass, and even a bit of a personal trademark locally! Edit: you can always tell my ex-basses - covers, maple tug bar, they all but have 'Dennis' bass' written over them!
9.
I finally got enough cash for a Precision bass. It's an MIM Standard, but I can truly say I LOVE this thing! I've had it for around six months now and I can hardly put it down.
Glorious!
10. Greetings, and welcome! I'm afraid I couldn't understand your post, except Markbass LMII, Yamaha TRB 5, and Eden 4x10! Good rig!
11. From the Fender Owners Manual: measurements in inches. Vintage style pickups (think '62 Precision) - bass side 8/64" (1/8"), treble side 6/64" (3/16") American/Mexican Standards - bass side 6/64" (3/16"), treble side 5/64" Cheers, Den
12. Another vote for " Not on your Bleedin' Nelly..." And, indeed, not on anyone else's, either.
13. Greetings all, Mature, reliable, competent bass player wants to do more pro and semi-pro gigs. I'm in a band just now, but there's time for me to do more, lots more. I have good gear, wheels, passport even (not a lot of use right now... ), and plenty of time, and no other commitments. Happy to travel. Would relocate for the right band! Currently, I play four-string electrics (Fender Precisions). I have some reading ability. I can do some backing vocals, and have my own mics and stands. I even have a small PA that could be pressed into service for rehearsals. I currently play classic rock/pop, but like and play just about anything. I'm up for covers, originals, tributes, and will have a pop at any genre. Influences range from Joe Osborn to Stanley Clarke and all between, just about. I'm happy to play at any level from pubs upwards, and any number of gigs. My ambition is to become fully professional, so if you need a bass player, as a band member or a dep, I might just be what you're looking for. Contact by email - in my profile. If you want further contact details for your records, I'll be happy to supply them. Cheers, Den
14. Welcome! Indeed, an SVT head weighs considerably more than my entire 500 watt mini-stack...
15. Welcome! Must get a Mustang sometime - only shortie I've ever wanted!
