1. Doesn't have a clue...2 pickups, BOTH are humbuckers, not one!
2. Haven't we all?
3. Helloooo!
4. Hi Mark! Erm, the answer to that particular question on here is, of course, YES! And have a really good time doing it, testing every bass that takes your fancy. What bass *does* take your fancy right now?
5. Hi Rhino, Nice gear list, and the first time ever I've heard of anyone but me using an AC50 head for bass. Bloody good it was, too! And the Bassman 50/2x15 is one of the best rigs I've ever heard if you like it big and deep. Although these days, it would barely make a good bedroom rig!
6. All valid points... I do only covers, and use only one model of one variety of bass (OK, a split-coil P and a single-coil P, but there's not a huge difference). There's no problem with different sounds. Just play the instrument differently and know well what your amp can do.
7. Utterly droolworthy, but I'll take the 66 P over it, any day!
8. Welcome! Oh yes, that Lincoln thread...think I upset them a bit!
9. Hi Giorgio, welcome back!
10. Hi Jo, welcome. Fender basses, old or new, can't beat 'em!
11. Welcome! Enjoy, it's as good as the old place, although the numbers haven't yet rebuilt to their former glory. All in good time, though.
12. Welcome! Back!
13. Oh, there's nothing wrong with Lincolnshire at all, and I drove past Swinderby a month or two ago...A46 still as damn dangerous as it ever was...it's just too damn FLAT!
14. Oh boy...does sound a bit trashed...can't wait!
15. Well said, that man! Nothing like a p-bass. I'm biased, of course!

Oi Oi!!

Welcome!
17. Welcome! Be nice to see some pictures of your well-used P!
18.
Hello , I wonder how many old faces I will recognise ?
Me! welcome!
19. And anyway, the North Sea doesn't count as 'the seaside' after living in Devon, and even more so, Cornwall. Not enough surf in Skeggy!
20.
UNEXPLAINED ? UNEXPLAINED ? UNEXPLAINED ? Lincolnshire is a wonderful place to live...... I admire your parents for having the sense to make the choice !!!!!! I love travelling, and have been to a lot of places in this old world of ours but NOWHERE feels like home in Lincs!!!!
Did my RAF basic training at Swinderby in 1974. Never willingly been near the place since!
21. Well...I'm an Essex boy (boy! Ha!), but my parents, for some unexplained reason, currently live in Lincoln...
22.
I've checked out GAK and Sound Control, and neither of them seem to have the new ATKs. Anyone know of anywhere stocking them? I always wanted the old ATK405, but they're rare as rocking horse sh*t now, so one of the new 305s will suffice...
Well, we here at Hartnoll's have a 300, but if I remember correctly there's not a lot of 'em around yet...
23. That is no more a 66 P than I'm Sir Ranulph Fiennes. The neck date has been put on with a 50p office accessory, and even just looking at that particular pic, there's two glaring ommisions. It would say XXmonth66Y, where Y = A, B, or C, for the different neck widths available then. Also, where's the truss rod adjuster? The headstock logo is wrong, and there's something resembling the 'offset contour body' decal on the ball of the headstock, and no P has ever had one o' they! T top it off, who'd start a 66 P at less than a grand?
