Friday gig on the fringe of the Looe Music Festival. Incredibly hot and sweaty, and everyone having a great time. Had some minor tech problems with frontman's amp, sorted at half-time, and one idiot who decided to initiate a mosh in a rammed pub. That ended with him being thrown out and his gf injured when she got shoved (by him, probably not intentionally ) right into the band. She will doubtless be sporting many bruises and aches and pains by now. Didn't do so bad myself, as she knocked the PA speaker over onto me. Caught it with my shoulder and managed to stop the whole thing crashing down. Gig continued to satisfactory conclusion!

Of course, if you're going to keep it forever, it doesn't matter a damn what you do to it...but if you're after selling, it's worth more as it is even if the paint flakes every time you pick it up. As someone who made my own A neck Precision, I'd be keeping that come what may!

The main advantage for me is cutting down on cables, The desk uses just a single USB cable for power and also uses this as a line in. I have a bluetooth adapter on the way from China to cut out another cable too so eventually it will be a single guitar lead and a short USB cable. I hate cables but want the flexibility of a desk so I can quickly boost or cut volume levels or low end on seprate channels. It also functions as an audio interface, has a switchable aux in on channel 2 (with seperate 2 band eq like chanel 1) and works with my Windows tablet. Before this I used a small desk but that had a bulky power brick and required a seperate aux in cable so wasn't as neat. I also had a Korg Pandora PX3B which was very portable but sounded lifeless to me, handy little thing though. [/quote] This looks very interesting!

In 2010, one stage of the Tour of Britain started in Tavistock, so a big town centre gig was put on. Top three bands were us, then Mad Dog Mcrea, topped off by Seth Lakeman, although he played before Mad Dog because he had to go to another gig. Audience: around the 6k mark.

Am in the process of reducing our volume. Better placement of monitors, take stuff OUT of the PA, and TURN THE F**K DOWN. We just did a gig in a 500-capable town hall, and we kept it way below previous pub volumes. Sounded great, no hearing stress for anyone. Next: persuade the drummer to use hot rods in small venues so he still welly everything without killing eardrums... EDIT: new side project is a bluesy trio. Guitarist has a new Blues Junior. Quite capable of being loud, but being 15W sets a limit...also, drummer has more than one setting!

Less times than I've been out on the town with Joanna Lumley.

First gig of the Rock n Roll Outlaws second life. Good gig, but fsr too loud. Even with ear plugs, there were moments of physical disorientation. Hot, sweaty, everything a rocking pub gig should be. And there was sufficient interest that it had to be ticketed to limit numbers! So, nicely remunerative also. Result!
