1. Indeed it is. Glad I don't suffer that particular GAS variant!
2. I have Chromes ECB81-5 on my Squier P5 and they are fine.
3. I don't see anything wrong with having loads of basses. It's just become unnecessary for me. And I'm impressed by all the extra space I have!
4. Band change means I no longer need an extension very often, so I'll stick with the 151P now, although it won't get a lot of use. ..
5. Can't stand: Single cuts Jazz body shape Blank pickups - I like me them pole pieces too! Anything with highly figured wood in it, bar flame or birdseye on a maple neck. Through necks. Actives, although not a necessarily visible thing. So, Precisions it is, then!
6. Have really had a good clear-out over the last few months. Now just two basses left, my Fender bitsa and the Squier P5. Everything I need, nothing I don't.
7.
No, no, no, no, NO!! Electric bass guitar is not and should not ever be a solo instrument. It only shines in concert and in a supporting role. If you're a bass player and for some unfathomable reason want to play interminable 'solos' then for God's sake do everyone a favour and buy a guitar. Then go and play it somewhere where I can't hear it! All that Jaco/Manring/Wootten stuff leaves me cold... like a stupid dwarf, it's not big and it's not clever.
Entirely agree.
8. Well, if Rik will have the 151P, I will have the 121H! Just logistics to sort out if that's to everyone's liking... Howzaboutit?
9. Rats, having waited for one of these for ages, I ended up with a 151P, which is great, but would have preferred this, as I have the matching combo! GLWTS!
10. Fabulously good combo. Had mine since 2006!
11. £4 each, delivered. Jaco book does not have the audio cassette! Titles, clockwise from top left: An Introduction To Scientific Guitar design, Donald Brosnac Guitar Basics, Bruce Buckingham (inc CD) [s]Harmonics For Electric Bass, Adam Novak [/s]SOLD Modern Electric Bass, Jaco Pastorius and Jerry Jemmot
12. Three of these cables, never used, had them for my mixer which I no longer have. have not included postage figure, as they are heavy and will cost a bit to post. Willing to split, fiver apiece!
13. Quite apart from earning money Blue, there's no better way to keep really tight than by doing a lot of gigging.
14. It's a revivial of a Cornish band called Hooked. Aiming at 75 -100 gigs/year. Like me, the band has been out of action around 8 months - time for a reboot!
15. Bump, and more just found, so will be adding to these!
16. The relief is physically palpable! Now, time to get some gigs!
